Gene Pitney Dead at Age 65

I just heard on our local news that Gene Pitney was found dead in his hotel room while on tour. I think they said, Cardiff. Very sad. He was a lovely man. DH's cousin is very good friends with him and his family and we have met him at their home for dinner and New Years Eve. You couldn't imagine a more friendly, modest, down to earth gentleman. Very sad for his wife and his kids.

OMG! How terribly sad. He was one of my most favorite singers when I was a teenager. A powerful voice full of life. So many great songs.

I'm shocked and saddened by this. Prayers to his family.
