Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Bella is so adorable with her "non" love for the characters!!!

I so hope Toby enjoys the characters!!! Maybe I should hire a fake Mickey Mouse costume and get my Dad to dress up and see his reaction!!!

Heather - that is a FAB Hollie story. I could sit and listen to stories of the girls (Brooklynn too!) all day - they do make me smile!

We did Stitch again last trip after a hiatus of several years because I had found it so awful that last time. I was thinking that maybe I'd been in an off mood the last time, and hadn't given it a fair shake. Nope. Still bad. So now I think it's on permanent hiatus. Unless maybe they do start paying us ... ;)

I spotted Bella right away -- almost. First, I thought she might be uncharateristically bold and go right by Donald. Silly me. Then my eyes swooped right to Jill's arms. That's better. Nestled snug in mama's arms and looking *away* from the scary character!

Glad those sweet girlies are starting to feel better. And yea for one more day off the school-year calendar! :yay:

Stopping by to say hi and see how you all are doing. :goodvibes I'm not keeping up with TRs and PTRs much these days, but since I left Facebook, I miss catching up with everyone. Hope you all are well!

 it did take me a moment to find Bella!! She was not at all interested in Donald and the West!! ;)
Love the queue at Winnie...so cute! I didn't spend much time at all in MK this last trip so your pictures are holding me over till October! :thumbsup2 Oh and my dates are 15-22 so between all of us that will be there we'll think of something :goodvibes
I could go for some popcorn this am. I can almost smell it now. :cloud9:

Aw, little Bella! Does she likes the characters sometimes or not a fan quite yet? My son Dimitri was three on our first trip. He hid under the table at each character meal. Those are some of my favorite pictures. ;)

I agree with Stitch being kinda lame....I miss Alien Encounter. I too felt like there should have been more. But with all of the super successes that they have for attractions, there's bound to be a few duds along the way! I won't hold it against them! And I do still visit Stitch on every visit ;)

It's too bad that Bella doesn't have a love for the characters (in person) but I can't say I blame her. To her they would seem really really big and are probably overwhelming! When we took my DCousin Kyle for the first time he was 7 and was very timid around the characters. And he was terrified on PoTC! You just never know how someone else's brain works!

It took me more than a minute to find Bella in that picture with Pioneer Donald! :rotfl:

Very cute popcorn cart indeed!

Sure wish we were in WDW (do I say that every time I comment on your TR???). Thanks for the virtual trip! :)

PS- hope the girls are feeling better!

I am always ready to jump into everyone's pictures, so your comment does not seem a bit unusual to me. :goodvibes

Glad to hear the girls have eaten.

Thinking of mine and Tink's kids playing together makes me smile, thank you for that :goodvibes

I love that popcorn stand made to look like Maurice's invention!

I'm guessing they will roll that into 'Little town, it's a quiet village....' when the time is right. :thumbsup2

Aw, poor Bella! She was probably just unsure because Donald wasn't wearing any pants, and that's just weird:lmao:!

We'll see if she gets any braver in about six and half weeks. :)

For the life of me, I can't picture where that meet and greet for Donald is in Frontierland. I've seen it in many TRs, but I have never seen it in person. I'm going to have to look for it better next time.

I just love Bella's sprigs! They get cuter with every picture! And I love the girl's matching clothes each day. I wanted two girls so that I could match all their outfits too. :cutie:

Characters used to just sort of come out on the walkway, but it's more set now. It seems like they are trying to make meet & greet spots more available.

It is right near the wooden path to Splash and BTMRR. They have changed it a bit and made it an offical "meeting" spot with the backdrop and all.
There is a popcorn cart to the left and and a few steps right is Liberty Square and further down is the entrance to the Liberty Belle.

You failed to tell about the crack in the sidewalk or the color of the concrete, but other than that, you're goooood! ;)

I'm afraid of the "drop feeling" on ToT...the unknown is the scariest part. :scared1:

Never been on Mission Space, Space Mountain, Rock n' Rollar Coaster or Expedition Everest....and I'm fine with that too!

Hope the girls are better now.

Thanks for the ride on Winnie the Pooh. :)

I've never taken pics of the popcorn carts...very cool! :thumbsup2

Thanks Poolrat .
I was wondering where Frontier Donald was and why we have never come across him before. :flower3:

I've taken pictures of many popcorn carts. I'm so wierd. :upsidedow

Good morning! I hope the girls are still feeling better. I know have a cold with aches, sore throat, etc. So fun. :sad2:
I love the pictures of Frontierland. I was looking through the report last night and my little one, Blake, said "Donald!" He wa so excited to see Donald. I love the new Winnie the Pooh features also. We did fastpass last ride and I was kind of wishing we could have done the regular line to play with all the cool toys.

I hope you feel better soon, Doc! :flower3:

Isn't it fun when our kids see the Disney things they love so much? Bella really tunes in when we have a youtube video going of her favorite rides.

Ok, maybe that's why I haven't seen it... it wasn't there! :rotfl: I didn't realize it was new. I've seen Frontier Donald in lots of TRs, but we have never seen him while in the park. I didn't realize he had gotten a permanent home by Splash! I'll be looking for him for sure. I love the characters in special costumes!

Christmas and Halloween are great for getting those special costumes, too. :thumbsup2

I too had to look for a bit to find Bella, she did not want anything to do with Pioneer Donald did she LOL!!!!

That is such a cute popcorn cart, just reminds me how important the little details are to Disney!!

I'm sad I won't be at the Atlanta DisMeet...but I'll look forward to October!!!!!!

We are sure looking forward to Atlanta. It would be awesome if everyone could come!!!

I was, too. I almost didn't ride it because of that very thing. Then Ray convinced me that I'd regret it if I didn't b/c we didn't think we'd be back anytime soon (not knowing we'd get bitten by the Disney bug and I'd be back in 4 months!). And now I LOVE it! It's my favorite ride in all of Disney World. I've never laughed so hard on a ride in my life. :thumbsup2

Same for me! I was so scared to ride it and never planned to. But, in January, I did the half-marathon and decided I was going to try all of the "I'm too scared to ride" attractions during that trip. ToT ended up being my favorite! For me, the drop feeling was scary until I felt my seatbelt catch and then I was fine. It didn't give me the butterflies in my tummy feeling that rollercoasters give me.

One day....Bella will just love those characters! Too cute how she was holding on to Jill.

I never noticed that popcorn cart before. Was that new?

I think they will probably put that new popcorn cart over in Belle's village soon. :)

Bella has certain characters she likes a little more than others. It will be fun to see which ones become her favorites.

Jill tested Brooklynn out on a local baseball team's mascot before she ever went to Disney World. Brooklynn's first actual encounter with characters, though, was when she about two months old. We went to a Disney on Ice and some characters came up to her. She slept through the whole thing.

We have two more days this week, five days next week, and 1 1/2 days the next. :yay:

I would love to see them give Stitch a better attraction. The little guy has been through so much, I think he deserves it. :stitch:

I've missed seeing the progress of your house on FB. I don't get on a lot, but I like to check in for a minute or two here and there just to see what folks are up to. I know some people back off of it feeling like it is too addictive, but that is far from the case with me, so I enoy it.

It's great to hear from you! :goodvibes

I guess we're semi-planning a before dinner meet on the 15th. We will have been traveling all day (7 a.m. flight with a 1 1/2 hour drive to the airport before check-in, so we'll probably meet up and then head back to the room for an early night-night. :cutie: We will probably look like zombies for that meet, so I ask your forgiveness in advance.

She has a few that she does better with. She gives most of them a deadpan look, though. :upsidedow

I keep hoping they will read the advice on the DIS and give Stitch an attraction to be proud of.

I'm glad you gave it a try. I'm looking forward to the day Brooklynn will ride it with me. She rode it once while I sat out with Bella, and she's not keen on riding it again - for now, anyway.

I don't like being closed into the elevator at first, but after the doors open, I'm good.

Hi MeMom. PM me your cell # by Friday so I can send you some pics. What time are you meeting on the 28th? You just may get some pics from me before then.:)

I hope to get to the point that I don't feel so addicted to it. I do plan to activate my account again in the future. Chuck's ship comes out of the maintenance yards soon and will be gone a lot so I'll need the company! ;-)

We haven't done much to the house since the last time I posted on Facebook so you haven't missed much.

Thanks Punkin for the encouraging words...;)

I should try it. One day....:rotfl:

I'm glad you had the courage to give it a try. :thumbsup2

I know it's a favorite ride of alot of people, so I'm a tiny bit curious.

It took me a few years before I would try it also but once I did I LOVED it also. You have a seat belt & bars you can hang on to (which I do hang on). We just love it now. This trip I may be brave & not hold on to the bars.

Hi there
Ive been lurking a lot lately. Between my mom having a minor heart attack last week and all the end of year school things for both me and my DD. But...TODAY is my last day of school. I have to attend the students graduation on Sat but that is more fun than work so from that point its 100 (not 104 phineas.) days of summer vacation!

Memom how are the girls today?

I think you should definitely do it!:thumbsup2 It's really not as bad as you think! And I have seen the system and how it works with my own eyes and how many people are watching you to keep you safe! If you want we can do it together! It's definitely worth it! DBFF is not a ride person but that and Rock'N'Roller Coaster have become her two favourite rides (because I make her go on them ;))

I can't help it. My hands automatically go to those bars!! But I will TRY to not hang on.

:worship: I love it when I stumble upon one of your trip reports!! It helps me to get through all the time I have to pass until my next trip in September :lovestruc

I have been keeping up just not posting lately. I'm glad you had a Happy Mother's Day. School is almost out for you! Yippee! Our home school still has a while to go. :sad2: We take more days off than a school system does but it bites us in the end. :headache:

I was back on the Small World DIS Meet - Henry happened to be sitting on my lap when I came upon that update and he INSTANTLY recognized Brooklynn! :thumbsup2 Then I kept scrolling and, "Hey! That's me!" and then he remembered how we all met. Such a fun meet!

And ah, Peter Pan. I wonder how many times we rode in that trip...at least 5...probably more!

I love your flower pictures-just beautiful.

Sorry to hear about the canceled Spring trip. But, looking forward to the AoA resort will be a lot of fun! Have you seen the recent pictures that were released at the D23 event? It looks awesome!!!!

I hope those 2 little girls are feeling better by now! I never saw an update on Bella's finger-I probably missed it being so far behind! :sad2: -was it broken or anything? How is it?
