Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

A Very Happy Birthday wish for our little Bellarie! This two years has just flown by. Wasn't it just a little while ago that Bella and Ty were newborns. Ty will turn two Friday and although I enjoy watching him grow and learn all these new things. I miss him as that little dark headed baby so much. Chances are he will be the only grandbaby I have so I'm in no rush for him to grow up.

Congrats to Tanya on her new job and I hope Trent's days get better soon.

We had those storms here yesterday also. Mostly heavy rain and strong winds. Denny works in Memphis and they had it a little rougher over there. Mostly trees down and no power. It could have been much worse. Five years ago almost to the day we had a tornado come through our county and many people lost their homes. And a few lost their lives. My good friend lost everything. No baby pictures, no cloths but the ones they had on, but the important thing is they all survived. And for that we are thankful!

Have a great day! It's beautiful here today.

Happy Birthday Bella!!! :bday:
party::cheer2::dance3::yay::banana::woohoo::cool1:

I think April birthdays are the best :thumbsup2 But I was 6 hours away from being a May baby

Sorry for getting so behind.
Happy Birthday to Bella!!
Looks like a great weekend. The "Gawgie" party is too cute. You guys always throw the best parties.
I'm going to start having Disney nights again, starting this weekend.
That is scary about the storm!! It came down here this afternoon. It wasn't as bad, though. I was on the cart today because my art room was used for testing and the dirt was blowing in my eyes and everything kept falling off the cart. It rained and then the temperate dropped about 20 degrees.
I love the Art of Animation. Have you ever tried the drawing class? It's Amy's favorite thing in Disney.
Brooklynn is too funny painting Flounder the wrong color.

:cake: Happy Birthday Bella :dogdance:
It looks like you all had a lovely party!

I'm so sorry that I've been gone for such a long time. It looks like you all have been having a wonderful time here! I'm going to try my best to get all caught up and jump into the fun again.

We've missed you. Glad you're able to be back. :)

Trent's job is going to be a little stressful for a while and quite long. He'll need to get little bits of sleep in whenever he can, and that will be a little rough. Once he gets some things set up, he should have a better schedule.

It would be devastating to lose all of your baby pictures. :sad1:

I guess I'm partial to months that begin with A, since Brooklynn is an August girl and Bella is an April girl. :goodvibes

The timing has never been right for us to do a drawing, but we sure want to. We've always had a little girl or two with us, but I know Brooklynn would enjoy trying it. Maybe we could get one of the guys to take Bella to do something while we do it someday. ::yes::

We got cool weather, too, but it's supposed to warm up starting tomorrow.

Leaving the Animation area, we saw some Einstein friends.

We told Kay to get a picture to send to her granddaughter, but she balked. Before I realized it, she did jump in there, but it was too quick, and I missed getting the shot. Jill either got a picture on Kay's phone, or she put one on FB - I can't remember.

Now where to?

We're probably really boring to you guys. No Rock-n-Rollercoaster or anything exciting on this day.

We were off to see some Muppets.

IMG_0905.jpg

There were a couple of ornery old men in there who were acting very rudely.

I admit, I almost fell asleep in here. It was dark, and I was sitting, and I felt myself jerk a time or two.

The time was:

IMG_0915.jpg

We decided to go back to Pop for some swim and rest time. We waved goodbye to Buzz up on top of Pizza Planet, but we didn't eat with him this time.

IMG_0916.jpg

When we got off the bus, we ran into this guy.

IMG_0918.jpg

Brooklynn told him she was going to hula hoop, and of course he had to do his normal aggravating thing and tell her, "No way! There will be no hula hooping today."

She grinned and ignored him, going straight on down the walk with determination, but I think those people walking by were a little unsure.

That little girl's face speaks 'He's a meany!', I do believe.

Brooklynn loves to hoop!

IMG_0919.jpg

She loves to swim, too, though, so she hooped quickly. :goodvibes

I can't believe I've never noticed Buzz up there!?! :confused3 I seriously need to take the time to look around more and check out things like this! That will be my goal for our next trip :)

I scrolled down to the picture but not what you wrote underneath. I saw Trent pointing and those 2 people looking and was wondering what he was teasing her about that looked like he ws being mean. :rotfl2:

What is your math fair at school? I do PTO for our school and we are always looking for new, fun educational ideas for family nights.

I took the idea from The Great Piggy Bank Adventure in Epcot. The kids will all have some kind of piggy bank to keep their coins in. They will go to various Math stations to do games and activities, and they will collect coins. Some stations will have everyone getting the same coin, and some will have staggered amounts, depending on how they place.

Students will use the skills they have learned throughout the year. We'll have things like bowling, where they will multiply the number of pins they knock down times the number on the dice they roll, a leap frog pond, where they will jump on only even or only odd numbers to cross on the lily pads, or a yet to be named cakewalk type game where the winner will get a quarter and the others will get dimes or nickels.

It is quite possible that I have Toy Story bowling pins and that my frogs look very much like Naveen.

Okay, they are Naveen.

Ribbit. ;)

There might be another Disney reference or two coming.

I have about ten games, I think.
They will then take their money to the store and make purchases from the plethora of assorted Happy Meal toys and other items that have been donated by Ladies Bible Class, DIS friends, and teachers. Think Chuck E. Cheese. They will love it, I think.

I can take pictures for you when we have it, and maybe your kids would enjoy doing something like that next year.

There are so many details that we just can't see them all. We would have to stay for weeks and weeks and go back to the same parks over and over at different times of the day and do different things every time to get it all. It's fun to look at someone else's pictures and see familiar things and new things.

Whatever she wants or wants to do, you can count on him to do his thing.

Brook: I want a popsicle.
Trent: Nope, I ate the last one. It was good, too. Cherry, I do believe. No, lime. That's it. Definitely watermelon.

Brook: Can we watch a movie?
Trent: We used them all as Frisbees. Flew them right over the house. UP went the highest.

Brook: Where's the kitty?
Trent: We traded him in for a lion. Go look. He's on MeMom's bed. Be careful when you open the door.

Yep, that's the way it goes with those two. She semi-believes half the things he says. ;)

They're both good months ;) I was actually supposed to be a May baby. I came 2 or 3 weeks early. Apparently I decided I wanted to be a birthday present and came the day after my mom's birthday

I admit, I almost fell asleep in here. It was dark, and I was sitting, and I felt myself jerk a time or two.

My mom did the same thing. She also did it during Carousel of Progress. I may have worn her out :rolleyes1 She also fell asleep on the Transit Authority on our arrival day because we had been up since 3 AM :rotfl:

Brooklynn loves to hoop!

According to my mom, I hula hooped for my kindergarten talent show. I wasn't very good. I have no memory of this

Josh and Jeremy used to tease me like that allllll the time :rotfl: I was a gullible little kid :rolleyes1 I remember once I got a splinter and Jeremy told that my mom was gonna have to take it out with scissors :scared1: I believed him  Actually, they still tease me occasionally. But now I'm smart enough to know when they're not being serious :rotfl:

First of all, Happy Birthday to Bella! Lots of birthdays going on--yesterday was my youngest daughter's 3rd birthday and my birthday!

Secondly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your math fair games! So creative. The kids are going to love them, too.

I had an uncle just like Trent, and to this day he's my favorite:lovestruc.

Hey MeMom and Jill...I haven't been around the boards too much recently (ugh, life!) but I just wanted to say Happy 2nd Birthday to Bella!!! :goodvibes  :yay:

I read the birthday party update, your new floor looks beautiful and the oven is very nice too! :thumbsup2

Happy 2nd Birthday Bella! Can't believe how fast time goes...Caleb is now 2 1/2 and is now counting and can point out #'s 1-10...can't believe how fast he is starting to put things together and figure out the world.

Speaking of the "World"....I may have just talked my MIL into a big family trip next Nov (2012) My inlaws take my MIL's mother and her mother's boyfriend to his place in FL for the winter after Thanksgiving since they can no longer drive long distances themselves and someone else in the family goes down in the spring to bring them home. Well my inlaws are big campers so I am trying to talk them into going to disney nov 2012 around and after thanksgiving that year! I have never camped at FW so I am really excited about that!

I am soo ready to go back and want Caleb to meet his beloved Gickey Mouse. (meaning that he will remember it this time!) LOL!

That's hysterical! :lmao: I can't wait until she starts pulling his chain ;)

Happy Birthday Bella!!! Looks like they kids had a great time and that the weather was beautiful!
Sorry to hear about Jarvis' mom. He's so young to be without his mom.
Happy news about Trent though. I know that you're happy he's close by.

Happy Birthday Bella!

66 days till we can hula hoop at Pop. Have a great Wednesday!

I'm not sure how I missed this report starting but I finally made it. I feel a lot like Dug and seem to have lots of "Squirrel!" moments. :rolleyes1

I will never remember everything I wanted to comment on but I will try to do my best.

First, my thoughts are with Jarvis and his family. It's a brutal thing to go through, especially when you are young (I'm assuming Jarvis is about my age, maybe a little younger?). :sad1: But I know how good it is that he has all of you. Adoptive families definitely help fill some of the holes.

Congrats to Trent and Tanya! :thumbsup2 So exciting to have them in TN!

Love the updates to the house. It is looking good!

I think I commented on FB about Bella's party but if I didn't, it looked like so much fun! I love the cake! The blue ribbon as a collar is genius (I really hope that is what is supposed to be so I don't sound too crazy. :rotfl:)

If it is not too much trouble, that would be great! It sounds like a fun evening and I know the students would love it. We tend to not get a lot of teacher help at PTO sponsored events so it is sometimes a struggle for us parents to come up with these great ideas! :thumbsup2 This would be easy and fun to do. We have been wanting to do a Math night for some time. Thanks for the information!
