That is the sweetest. He sounds like a fabulous uncle!
He is that.
He's a mess, and so is Brooklynn when she plays right into his hand.
They're both good months I was actually supposed to be a May baby. I came 2 or 3 weeks early. Apparently I decided I wanted to be a birthday present and came the day after my mom's birthday
My mom did the same thing. She also did it during Carousel of Progress. I may have worn her out She also fell asleep on the Transit Authority on our arrival day because we had been up since 3 AM
According to my mom, I hula hooped for my kindergarten talent show. I wasn't very good. I have no memory of this
Josh and Jeremy used to tease me like that allllll the time I was a gullible little kid I remember once I got a splinter and Jeremy told that my mom was gonna have to take it out with scissors I believed him Actually, they still tease me occasionally. But now I'm smart enough to know when they're not being serious
The Carousel of Progress is long enough that you could definitely get settled and sleep a few minutes. I couldn't do it, though, or people would think the CoP family was having an earthquake.
Maybe your mom could share a picture with us of your kindergarten talent show.
First of all, Happy Birthday to Bella! Lots of birthdays going on--yesterday was my youngest daughter's 3rd birthday and my birthday!
Secondly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your math fair games! So creative. The kids are going to love them, too.
I had an uncle just like Trent, and to this day he's my favorite.
Happy Birthday to your birthday girl, too!
I think the kids will like the games. It's all a matter of crowd control at the end of the year anyway, so any way we can keep them engaged will help.
Hey MeMom and Jill...I haven't been around the boards too much recently (ugh, life!) but I just wanted to say Happy 2nd Birthday to Bella!!!
I read the birthday party update, your new floor looks beautiful and the oven is very nice too!
Thanks. I was just on the phone with Bella. She was at the grocery store with Jill and was getting pizza - her dinner choice for tonight.
Happy 2nd Birthday Bella! Can't believe how fast time goes...Caleb is now 2 1/2 and is now counting and can point out #'s 1-10...can't believe how fast he is starting to put things together and figure out the world.
Speaking of the "World"....I may have just talked my MIL into a big family trip next Nov (2012) My inlaws take my MIL's mother and her mother's boyfriend to his place in FL for the winter after Thanksgiving since they can no longer drive long distances themselves and someone else in the family goes down in the spring to bring them home. Well my inlaws are big campers so I am trying to talk them into going to disney nov 2012 around and after thanksgiving that year! I have never camped at FW so I am really excited about that!
I am soo ready to go back and want Caleb to meet his beloved Gickey Mouse. (meaning that he will remember it this time!) LOL!
I'd love to try out one of those great RV's and stay at Fort Wilderness!
I hope this all comes through for you guys.
It is an amazing thing to watch kids grow and develop and discover the world around them. They drive me nuts sometimes, but I love being around my kids at school and listening to their conversations and their observations about things.
That's hysterical! I can't wait until she starts pulling his chain
She's already tried a few times. They're crazy about each other. He always wants to know about his little rats.
Happy Birthday Bella!!! Looks like they kids had a great time and that the weather was beautiful!
Sorry to hear about Jarvis' mom. He's so young to be without his mom.
Happy news about Trent though. I know that you're happy he's close by.
I am glad to have him home for a while. I think he'll try to get an apartment pretty soon, but this gives him a chance to save some money.
The weather was very nice for the party. I was thankful that we could be outside a little.
Happy Birthday Bella!
66 days till we can hula hoop at Pop. Have a great Wednesday!
Yay for hula hooping!

You'll have to send us a FB picture when the kids are hooping. It will make us smile.
I'm not sure how I missed this report starting but I finally made it. I feel a lot like Dug and seem to have lots of "Squirrel!" moments.
I will never remember everything I wanted to comment on but I will try to do my best.
First, my thoughts are with Jarvis and his family. It's a brutal thing to go through, especially when you are young (I'm assuming Jarvis is about my age, maybe a little younger?). But I know how good it is that he has all of you. Adoptive families definitely help fill some of the holes.
Congrats to Trent and Tanya! So exciting to have them in TN!
Love the updates to the house. It is looking good!
I think I commented on FB about Bella's party but if I didn't, it looked like so much fun! I love the cake! The blue ribbon as a collar is genius (I really hope that is what is supposed to be so I don't sound too crazy. )
Yes, it was a collar.
Glad you found us. We like having all the regulars around and gaining new friends, as well.
Just like mine would be tumble monkeys or at least one in particular.
One day she will get him back.
Hmmmmm....a monkey game?
She already tries. Her day will come, and he will be sunk.
If it is not too much trouble, that would be great! It sounds like a fun evening and I know the students would love it. We tend to not get a lot of teacher help at PTO sponsored events so it is sometimes a struggle for us parents to come up with these great ideas! This would be easy and fun to do. We have been wanting to do a Math night for some time. Thanks for the information!
No problem. We had planned to do this in January, but with all the snow days, things got messed up. Then we were having spring break and TCAP for the 3rd and 4th graders and field trips coming up, so we just pushed it to the end of the year. We can cover more skills that way, too.
That's me! Even after the storms had passed us, and we went to bed, I had the Weather Channel turned on in our bedroom.
Yes, Chelsea made peanut butter cookies Monday night. They are very tasty. You may want to come down to Atlanta this weekend. She is trying a new recipe -- white chocolate macadamia cupcakes with coconut frosting. I can't wait!
These made me laugh out loud! Love the one about Up going the highest and the lion on your bed!
The Muppets are always so much fun! Much better than RnRC in my opinion!
White chocolate macadamia
anything is my favorite!!! They have those at Writer's Stop, by the way.
I can't handle the take of of RnRC, so I think I'm done with it now. I may do it again someday of the girls want to, but it's not something I'd make a regular thing.
Your math activity sounds like fun, have you thought about having the kids make paper mache piggy banks? There are tons of ideas if you google it! Here's one
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/crafts/Piggybank.shtml
You could even manage to make one look like Miss Piggy I bet!
I looked at those. I don't think I'll papier mache with this bunch, though. I've got a Hamm picture, and I'll let them color them and put them on something free or cheap. I may just put another paper on back and let them glue the edges, making a change purse type thing. They won't have that many coins, anyway. Thanks for the idea, though. I use Enchanted Learning a lot for many lessons. I was there today getting things for a Symbols of America unit.
I too had never noticed Buzz on top of Pizza Planet. I will have to point that out to Jeremy this summer. Actually, we had never eaten there until this year. He loved it!
Love the pictures of the muppets!
Brooklyn is too cute with her hula hoops!
Mr. Potato Head used to reside there, too.
Loved the pics of the Muppets!! My DH favorite. They were closed when we were there this year so he is very anxious to see them again in May.
You are not boring us at all. We all love your updates!! That Bella with her glasses upside down.
Bella put them on just how Brooklynn used to - upside down.
Silly girls.
I'm glad you made it through the storms. What a nice welcome to TN for Tanya. I'm glad things seem to be working out for Trent and Tanya so far. Did she have to leave family in Florida?
My son loves to paint the characters also. We really like the animation class as well. Maybe you all can try it soon.
Tanya has family in Florida and in several other states. Some are in NY, I believe.
I hope to draw a picture within the next few trips. It will be awful, but it'll still be fun to try it out.
Those same rude men were there the last time I saw Muppets too! Who let them in?! I also almost fell asleep. It's dark and you finally are sitting and wearing those glasses, no one would ever see your eyes shut for a minute. lol! I read that Trent was back! Hurray! Are you tickled pink or what?
I've barely seen him, though. He's been working, working, working. It's nice to know he's here, though.

I can tell by how fast a loaf of bread disappears that he is back.
The place I know I could easily fall asleep is in the Impressions de France movie. The dark and the soothing music - oh, yeah, it could definitely put me into a deep sleep.
And then there would be an earthquake (my snoring) in France.
I miss MuppetVision! I love the old heckling guys, they're always my favorite.
The conversations between Brooklynn and Trent were cracking me up! That's kind of what my dad did to my cousins and I when we were little. My mom said that she and my aunt used to get upset with him during family gatherings b/c my dad would get the three of us really riled up, and then leave.
I can picture your dad doing that.
Memom, I know you're a fan of the mickey head bowls so I'm posting the new one I got from disneyshopping.com. It's the same size as the red one from Christmas and the black one they had at Target not too long ago. The little mickey head is the spoon rest that many of us have gotten at Disney World recently. I got the cups in the picture as well - they're on sale on the web site right now.
The outside of the bowl is bright green. I love the new summer colors!
Nice! I do like those summer colors. I think it's time for you to host a Disney party, and show us pictures.
Oh it was nice to come home today and see a little muppet show! It's always been one of my favourites! And I'm glad Brooklyn didn't let that mean Uncle stop her from hoola-hooping!
Well....he kinda puts the other frogs to shame...
I love this!!! This is me with my DNiece now that she's old enough to get the joke. The last time I went to visit though, she told me that I was "just plain silly" and to "stop messin' around with her" (she's 4 going on 17)
You saw how she was walking - she has the head high and she is moving forward on a mission.
Naveen is the best frog. Apologies to Kermit, but he hasn't shown me how handsome he can be in his human state yet.
Brooklynn is 4 going on 17, too. Then other times, she's 4 going on 2.
