First order of business for April 5th -
to Bella!!!!
We love you, sweet girl!
And a happy day for you, Mommy, since you are the one who did all the hard work on April 5th two years ago.
Please pass it on! I confess that I found the idea when I googled for ideas. I do great when someone else comes up with the ideas!
We're always on the prowl for new ideas. We steal some, and we tweak others.
What a yucky afternoon! It stormed a little here, but nothing like that!!!! Glad you had power when you got home!
There were trees down and telephone poles cracked in half in several places around here. As a matter of fact, the news people did their live report from the overpass right near our house, saying our area was one of the worst hit. There was a big tree down in a neighbor's yard as I drove in, but my trees were fine. If my trees fall, they'll fall right on my house, unfortunately.
Yikes! Sounds like you had some scary weather this afternoon It's been crazy windy here the last couple of days, no storms though.
I haven't watched the show with Mushu in ages, I should check it out again
Love the pics of the girls 'coloring' - so cute!
The wind was strong enough to knock over a set of bleachers on the football field outside our classrooms. That's fairly strong.
Some people think the Animation area is pointless, but we enjoy it.
MeMom, I was thinking about everytime I saw I map and the weather coming our way. I am glad you are safe at home now and have power. I am ready to batten down the hatches here for tonight.
I hope Trent had a great first day and Tanya had a great interview.
The thunder last night felt like it was picking up the houses, and it lasted a long time! It was probably the most powerful thunder I had heard/felt around here. It was rattling the whole house.
Trent had a very long day, and Tanya got the job.
Looks like that weather is headed this way I hope it fizzles out before it gets here, but it looks pretty bad still!
I hope all of our DIS friends made it unharmed.
Wow the storms looked so bad for you guys today. I am glad y'all are ok.
Just caught up. What a busy and exciting weekend! The new floor and stove look great! And Jills cake was amazing. She is so talented! And the Big news about Trent and Tanya!!! Wow. Just so happy for you and your family for all of it!
Lots of new things going on. We started off the week with tornado drills, though, so I'm wondering what that means for
this week?
Oh my gosh sounds like you had a scary day!! Glad to hear everything is ok. The kids must get so scared while they are going through that. We don't get storms like that here very often. Glad to hear you had power.
We do have a few that cry, but not many and not bad. Some of the CBIP kids have a tough time with it all. With their sensory issues, it's really rough on them. I always feel badly for them and for the people who work with them who are trying to explain it all.
Oh no that's so scary! Was there a tornado warning for you guys as well?
I've never seen what they have on the interactive screens for the kids before, it's pretty cute. I always like taking the character quiz test when I'm there.
Yes, we had sirens.
I think most of the damage was from straightline winds, though.
Sometimes we'll answer the character questions different ways just to see who all we can get to come up on the screen.
That's for everything-Aunt Joan, Jarvis's mother, Trent coming home, sweet Bella, and bad weather. In fact, all of that deserves two hugs!
Thank you. I think two hugs were needed. I think Jarvis is supposed to come home tonight.
Oh no!! An afternoon in the hallway is not a good thing!!
So glad you all made it home safe and sound. Hope you have better weather tomorrow and you get to stay in the classroom and do something productive...
Thinking of Jarvis today, as well as Trent starting his new job and Tanya in her quest for a new one.
Happy 2nd Birthday (tomorrow) Bella
Tanya got the job and goes in for orientation today. She said it was a nice place. She wass interviewing during the storm, and she and the manager ended up moving away from the window they were sitting by.
I got two new students yesterday, too! They both seem to be sweet little girls, though, so I am hoping that what I saw is what they really are. I have my hands very full already.
Oh, wow, what a scary afternoon. I saw on Heather's and Jackie's FB's that you guys were getting bad storms. It was rainy here today, and are supposed to have more rain and possibly some thunderstorms tomorrow, but nothing like what you guys are getting. Glad you had power when you got back!
I think the entire south got a good dose of storms yesterday.
We seldom lose power, for which I am grateful. We're near a hospital, so we think we may be on some heavy duty line because of that. Whatever it is, we've only lost power a few times in all the years we've been here.
Yikes. Glad you're okay! That's good ol' Midwest weather for you, huh. I hate tornado season. They scare me!
Of course you'd use that cute guy for your piggy bank!
I'm going to print off the pictures of Hamm and let the kids color them, but now I have to figure out what they're going to use for the banks. We may just wash out milk and juice cartons from lunch. I'm up for suggestions.
Happy 2nd Birthday Bella!!!
(eeek that means Toby's is 1 month from now!)
Great update - party pics and the news on Trent is just wonderful!
Hope you all have a better day storm wise today xxx
Yep, lots of DIS babies with birthdays!

So much fun!
I think starting tomorrow we get back to some sunshine and warmer temperatures.
