I think if we had a picture of a car we could see those POP suitcases being pulled behind with a little creative editing.
I think she knew the car was about to 'pop' for real, because she said they bought zero souvenirs today at Graceland.
Oh no, the dreaded last day! I always book a late flight out, but then I'm too bummed to really appreciate anything. I'm still crossing my fingers we'll be moving back to Florida next June, because then I'll know that there are lots of trips right around the corner.
Glad to hear you had fun with your girls! I'm sure Brooklyn loved having her MeMom cheering her on from the sidelines of swim lessons!
I'm sorry to see that this TR is coming to a close, but I'm super excited that your next trip is right around the corner! Yay for another TR!
I hope the Florida move works for you, too. Maybe you can have lots of DIS meets.
They don't let the adults in the pool area for the lessons, but you can see though the glass doors. She did well, but she just needs to do it a little longer. She was doing the right things, but the teacher wanted her to do it all the way to the side of the pool instead of just a few feet. She'll get it eventually.
I'm glad you had a fun dinner; I bet Anita & Marc had some fun trip stories to share!
I have some cute little surprises for the girls on NYE. I'm excited to see them again! My sister is too - she thought Brooklyn was so cute that NYE a few years ago.
I am scheming a 2012 trip with Caroline; I'll see them next week so I was going to ask my brother & SIL if they'd be opposed to it. I figured we'd go in October; hopefully smaller fall crowds & also
MVMCP - I think she'd really get a kick out of that.
You are sure planning ahead for that NYE trip!

I'm sure they will love whatever you have.
October trips are wonderful, and if you meant to put
MNSSHP, you are correct - lots of fun!
Did the complete mickey place settings that were bought at Town Center, make it into the Kansas bound car last night?
They are still about 3-4 hours away from home. She won't know that sack is full of bricks until sometime tomorrow.
Naaah, I gave her the real deal. Rest assured, they can eat off of the cute little Mickey plates using their cute little Mickey forks, knives, and spoons.
Glad to hear that you had a great time with Anita and the boys.
Bella's singing is so cute. Lexi doesn't sing words but she does hum a lot.
How many days do you have until your next trip?
Last night, Marc and Anita gave the girls Cruise Line Goofy dolls. Brooklynn barely said a word at dinner, but as soon as we got in the car, she was wrapping Goofy up and humming him to sleep. At one point she said, "No ma'am, Goofy. Go night night."
Brooklynn took down the Mickey head for tonight and reported that we have 14 more sleeps!
Glad you are having a nice visit with the girls! That Bella is too cute with her song!
Cool that you got to meet up with Anita and all. I was cracking up at Baylor getting bonked with a package! I have a great visual of that car all loaded up and him wedged in the backseat!
About this coconut cake - I just made something simliar with chocolate, caramel sauce and Butterfingers.
What is this Coco that you speak of? And where will I find it? It sounds like something I would definitely like!!
He was a good sport about being squished in. At his age, you might expect him to have had an attitude or been a punk about it, but he was very cute about it. He's a great kid!
I think your Coco Lopez question has been answered. It's in the mixed drinks section of my Kroger.
Here in Ne I can find Coco Lopez in the alcohol isle next to the cherry grenadine. I hope that helps.
Thanks for helping.
I just saw that you guys are leaving two weeks from tomorrow! That is amazing. & I saw the pictures from Anita on Facebook when you met up, looks like you guys had a good time!
I work at a grocery store in MA & we don't sell alcohol, but we sell all the fixings for it (grenadine, olives, margarita salt ) in the regular soda aisle & I've seen Coco Lopez there, too. Hope that helps as well!
We did have a fun time.
Yeah, that's where our Kroger has it.
Thanks! So it's non-alcoholic - like a mixer? Not that I mind either way but I wouldn't want to give it to kids (very often!).
No alcohol - just coconut milk. Be sure to shake it good before pouring.
Hope you are having an amazing time with the girls!! I do think we overlap by a couple of days, we arrive on the 6th...hopefully we can meet up at POP sometime!!!
We will try to meet on the 6th at Pop, then. We have to leave on the 7th. What time of day are you arriving? I think Jill said that was an Animal Kingdom day for us.
Glad you are having fun! The pics of dinner last night looked like fun. Poor Baylor.lol.
I have to ask for advice from the mommas here. Trying to potty train my 3 yr old son before school in the fall and our WDW trip in august. #1 is fine- no problem with that. Its number 2 that is proving a problem. I have even bribed him with a trip to see "buzz rocket, castle and minnie mouse (he calls Mickey - minnie). And he is excited for that but still wont do it. Any advice?
Lots of patience and consistency. It's something every kid is different with, of course. I don't have any words of wisdom, except that most kids 'get it' eventually and grow up to use the potty very normally. I don't remember having any big struggles with my kids. I put them on the potty with a book, and then left them there for a little while. They all caught on pretty quickly.
The last day of the trip is always so sad! But look, you finished this trip report before the next trip so that's good! You know how much I love your trip reports and family!
Oh and I have to mention again, that I can probably whip up some white chef hats for you if you need them!

Hi Daisylove-
I have "potty trained" 4 kids. I wait until they are over three years old and show them the basics and do little stickers or some kind of little treat and lots of praise and encouragement. And then say to them, when you are ready, go for it! I personally think the more you make of it the more stage fright they have. My youngest wanted to wear big girl undies when she was 2.5 and I told her she had to wait till she was 3. The day of her 3rd birthday, she insisted on wearing undies and off she went to school in them. The pooping on the potty takes a little more time. I just tried to catch their signals and suggest they try the potty when they feel like they have to go. Eventually they get it but of all the things I get involved in with my kids, that was one battle I wasn't going to get involved in. Please keep in mind, there are lots of different kinds of kids and parenting styles and ideas and opinions. This is just worked for me. Best of luck to you!! ~Cathy
You know we don't finish a report until we're about to leave again! It makes the last trip last longer.
I may very well take you up on the hat thing in the fall. Did you get Jill's message about buying a coupon holder?
Jill loved her big girl Strawberry Shortcake panties, but the boys neither one saw their big boy britches as a huge deal. I didn't give rewards, but Jill did the m&m thing with Bella. One 'm' for each time going to the potty, and then she weaned her off of that.
Ok Memom, I want to try your coconut cake recipe, but I need to know how much of the coco lopez and eagle brand milk to use? I was going to wing it, but I didn't want it to be soggy if I used too much. TIA!
I actually have a recipe for that same type of cake and it is super good, but mine is a chocolate caramel cake. You make one box of devil's food cake mix (in a single layer, deep baking dish) and poke holes in it, then pour a whole bottle of caramel sauce over the cake (the kind you would use on ice cream). Top it with cool whip and put in the fridge overnight. It is awesomely fantastic!
I've made that cake with Butterfinger and also with Heath Bar. That is a good cake!
It's just to taste on how much you put in. Put in at least 1/2 to 2/3 can of each, though.
I know I'm VERY late!
But hello everybody! I've been lurking since this TR started...actually I I've lurked on many of your TR's and I've just decided to post now.
It's good to have you along! We're glad you are enjoying the trips.
I'd like the specific recipe too!
Rinky, that's exactly what I did - only I threw some crushed butterfingers on the cake before and after the whipped. YUMMY!!!
on the potty training - I only had girls, but my older DD had trouble adapting to the #2 on the toilet as well. She would tell me she needed a diaper or pull up and then get one on and go stand in a corner and do it. So I knew she knew when she needed to go, but she was somehow afraid to go on the toilet. It took a little while, and lots of reassuring (and maybe a few little incentives!), but she got it by the time she was about three. So maybe see if he's recognizing the signs he needs to go first, and then find a way to ease him into using the toilet?
Good luck!!
It's so funny when they first start hiding to do their business.
Exacts on my recipes are exactly what I put it at any given time. I'm a 'dash of this and dollop of that' kind of person. I put in not quite the whole can of each on the cake.
Boo for the last day...that dreaded ME tag! On a good note...your trip is right around the corner!!!
Two weeks from tonight I'll be back down here in Alabama, probably with a sleeping Brooklynn beside me again. I hope we can all get in bed early so that the drivers can be decently rested before we leave in the middle of the night.
They have it in Ne?!! LOL! Yup, that's where I find it, too!
Okay, I just had to edit this because I guess I hadn't read all the responses and just saw that they have it all over the place...wonder why we can't find it when we're in Orlando??
Yes, it's non-alcoholic, we make shakes and smoothies for the kids with it...and then we make shakes and smoothies for the adults...with Malibu Coconut Rum...
Thanks again for the recipe, MeMom!! I was thinking of just making a sheet cake in a Pyrex - would that work??
Yep, I do a sheet cake in an aluminum pan that I can toss away and have to do no washing.
