You know it's time to clean the closet out when you discover a formal dress in the back corner that:

• is beautiful
• fits perfectly
• has been worn.....maybe twice?
• is free! well, because I already bought it. forever ago

Of course, I would like to find another semi-formal, but I also have a great little black dress that will work just fine. See? I told you the budget cruise ruined me.

Only 76 more days! All I have to do is.....

Make door signs, make tags for FE gifts, work on Lionel's semi-formal wear, finish the online check-in, and make my packing list.

That's almost as good as when he said "well, we don't want to do a full-day excursion where we spend most of the time on a bus".......after I had spent HOURS the previous day telling him which excursions we were doing. And why we WERE NOT doing the long one.

Today I got my "secret Mickey" person. This is the person for whom you drop off surprises based on their likes and dislikes (which a very organized DISer put together in list form for us! Thanks anewmac!). That means.....shopping time!!!

I don't know why I am so excited about this, I just AM. I think this is the first cruise I have been on where there were SO many DISers who all seem to be of similar senses of humor and likes/dislikes. It's going to be like being on a boat full of people I already know. And that's pretty awesome.

I don't really have anything else to say right now. I guess I have some jelly bean shopping to do this weekend, though!

Today I got my "secret Mickey" person. This is the person for whom you drop off surprises based on their likes and dislikes (which a very organized DISer put together in list form for us! Thanks anewmac!). That means.....shopping time!!!

I don't know why I am so excited about this, I just AM. I think this is the first cruise I have been on where there were SO many DISers who all seem to be of similar senses of humor and likes/dislikes. It's going to be like being on a boat full of people I already know. And that's pretty awesome.

Last night, in the first of many "warm-ups" for the boat, I drank a bottle of Nagori unfiltered sake and rocked out on Rock Band for a few hours. Sometimes you have to unleash your inner drummer, no matter how much she flails.

Oh, and then I woke up six hours later, because I am on call at my occasional weekend job. Only when I got ready and called, they didn't need me, and I was too awake to go back to sleep.

Hello, hangover.

I figured, however, I would look at the bright side of my surprise day off. We have nothing else planned for today, and we just got paid yesterday, so....why not go to Burlington and look at suits for Lionel? I'm sure that when he wakes up he will be absolutely thrilled with my plans for the day.

Yes, I admit it. I am a rock band junkie! I've even gone so far as to try and sing and drum at the same time. I failed out of the Nirvana song though - doh!

As a matter of fact, we are having a "Rock Band Party" in a few weeks! Should be a hoot. I'm all for Rock Band night on the cruise! You'd never get me off of the drums

It went very well! I'll post an update this week with more details. I think my FE is still in production......Tiffany just got a Wii Fit so I have to cut her some slack

But someone on our thread just posted this and I instantly thought of you... I think it may make a nice summertime drink!!!

Creamsicle Margarita recipe
Ingredients
1 1/4 oz gold tequila
3 oz orange juice
1 oz sweet and sour mix
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
6 oz crushed ice

Mixing instructions
Blend all ingredients until slushy. Serve in a margarita glass.
