That's hysterical. I'm new to photobucket, so I've got nothing. I just can't imagine where everyone finds this cool pics. Seems to be a pic for every subject.

Okay. You can do this...without Photobucket. Google your words. Then select "Images" (upper left).

When the image loads, right click and then choose "Properties". Highlight the address (URL), right click and choose "Copy".

Then go back to DIS and choose the little mountainy picture icon. Erase the first "http://" (because you'll end up with one already), right click and choose "Paste".

Sometimes it doesn't always work, so I'm careful to preview the post before I submit.

Good afternoon!

The frogs :scared1::scared1: I can't stand to think about them - once Dh went to Chinatown and they were selling them in buckets. The poor things were trying to jump out and they kept hitting them on the head :sad1::sad1:

I think that lol cat belongs in your siggy, Grumpy Pirate!

I knew about googling images, but I thought you had to save them to photobucket before you could paste them here. Very cool.

BTW, very weird. I cannot post pics using the mountain pic thingy from home (on AOL). It only works in the office. Last time I tried to post a pic in my siggie I thought I messed it up by right clicking the mountain thingy. Turns out I wasn't stupid. It just doesn't work from home. Told you it was weird. Go figure.

I thought the same.....as my na-na used to say " you learn something new every day !"

Not to start a disagreement on our fluff thread, but I disagree with googling then linking directly. It's considered bandwidth theft unless the site expressly allows direct linking. Some sites, if they catch you direct linking, will even change the picture to a less-than-wholesome pic on you. So be careful.

You mean all this time I've been saving them to Photobucket for nothing?

No, you are doing the right thing. It is easier the other way, but it is also riskier (they could change the picture on you) and more ethical (you are not swiping their bandwidth).

Okay, I'll stop...promise.

Wow. I had no idea! :scared1: Guess I'll be cuttin' back on the pictures....Thanks for letting me know.

No. you should probably save them to photobucket. ALSO when you upload to photobucket, you can change the size, so you don't cause the gigantic picture to disrupt the thread.

and Like Glitterkittyy posted, some sites take a dim view of that!

(also, if its in your photobucket, you can control it, and much like the icons I send out for holidays, I can delete them after the holiday is over and not burden the DIS with all the links and using bandwidth for it!)

Wow, I'm so sad that I am just now seeing this thread...I read the first page  a middle page and the last page. Looks like it has been fun.

So, can someone give me a short version (cliff notes) outline so I don't need to go pop popcorn and sit (wasting my precious time - Ha! re: original post) on how this thread went from pointing out to the silly OP that she had time away from her "friends and family" to calculate how many posts someone made per day over the past 5 years, and how she has had time to post over 1000 times to discussing Photo saving strategies? I guess, I just want to know just how put in her place she was and if she is still around.

She showed back up once to assure us that she still had more of a life than the rest of us then never returned.

I think we've pretty much run her out of dodge...or at least HER thread. lol
