Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

One of my favorite memories of DS28 was when he was in 4th grade and got in the shower with chewing gum. He dropped the soap, bent over to pick it up, gum came out of his mouth and landed in his hair (his bangs). DS28, never one to have a sense of humor or "roll with the punches" was freakin' hilarious. I was a very very bad mom because I could not keep a straight face as he was screaming that his life was ruined while standing in the middle of the family room, dripping wet and naked with the gum stuck in his hair. And I should mention that we had company. :rotfl:

I'm suprised a boy would care so much about his hair. That's usually a girl thing. :lmao:

He did not care about his hair; he cared that he would be viewed as an idiot for having gotten the gum stuck in his hair.

my son would be the same way. However, he doesn't have much hair. If he got anything stuck in it, we'd have to completely shave his head which would surely bring him to tears.

Nothing stuck to the puppies, yet. I did find them playing tug-a-war with a pair of panties this morning. It's very difficult to yell at them to stop when you're laughing. It's pretty funny to see 2 little fuzzballs trying to pull panties away from each other.

My DD got gum stuck in her hair once. I think she was probably in 3rd for 4th grade. She would lay on the floor and watch TV. I repeatedly told her she was going to choke. One night she started screaming. I went in and th gum had fallen out of her mouth and slid down the slide of her face, into her hair at the back, sort of underneath, since her hair had been fanned out on the floor where she was laying. I immediately got hysterical laughing and ran for the camera. She lost it! She was screaming and telling me what a bad mother I was because I was laughing and taking pictures. :lmao:

I then called my mother to share. When I was little I was crying one night and she put me in bed with her. She didn't know I had gum in my mouth. I fell asleep and the gum fell out into HER lower back length hair! :scared1: I knew my mother would enjoy sharing in my payback.

Finally, I got around to trying to get the gum out of her hair -- peanut butter, oil, ice cubes... nothing worked. After about 1/2 hour, I finally cut it out. She wasn't happy, but at least it was underneath her hair and really not too noticeable. She also went through a stage when she was in Kindergarten where she used her scissors to cut everything -- including her own hair, so I had no pity for her crying about how mean I was for cutting her hair. :rotfl:

Hey stranger, how are you? Good to see you again! Hope all is well.

:wave2: PK

Mom is not quite up to par, so I get lost a bit.

:hippie:

I'll supply the booze too. I know Pakey would prefer scotch, but I see it's already here. :rotfl2:

I'll leave that little story between you and Pakey. However, if you're buying, I'd prefer a Coors Light or a Corona. Not sure where this is headed, but will I have to call in sick tomorrow? ;)
