Hey guys, I'm back on the GP bahookie cookie thread. I've been missing in action because I had to take Chinese guests on a whirlwind tour of the western United States. Now I've back at the office with a backload of work and I'm so tired I can barely lift my eyelids.

Having a life is way too tiring. I'm glad to be back to my boring non-existence.

Wow snapppy -- fan-damn-tastic! Did you refinish the cabinets in a darker color, or is it just the lighting? It looks fabulous! Congrats.

Thanks! No, we didn't refinish the cabinets, it's the camera lighting. We are thinking of it, however.

The contractor was so nice, he did all 3 bathroom vanities for almost nothing because we had enough granite left over from the kitchen!

No Snap, everyone is still just drooling over the new countertops!!! I love my granite; if the house were burning, I'd probably be trying to wrestle it out the door.

Honestly, it feels like the entire board is just "dull" recently, not a lot of activity. I guess everyone is too busy trying to get meal reservations through free dining.

Hi Pakey! I admit I've been off for days at a time also. And next week we'll be on vacation (down the shore) without a computer so I'll be gone again for 9 days

Maybe in September everyone will get back into a routine and post more. I have to tell ScotLass that I was throwing around the word "bahookie" a lot last week

I'm on Facebook too. I actually had to put an old high school friend in her own list because she was writing things that I was horrified by. Vulgar language, TMI, sounds like she never left high school. I'm game if anyone wants to become Facebook friends.

Glad to hear everyone is getting their projects completed. It's very exciting when something is finally accomplished.

Enjoying the last of my vacation this week. Spend a few days at the Jersey shore and loved it.

And, not that I'm excited or anything, but

1 MONTH FROM TODAY I'LL BE IN WDW!

OOohhh, I miss Disney!! We might go for a few days in December! have a great time and take pics!

We are removing the cabinets from the butlers pantry and our dining room. We need more storage, so we are replacing all of it with IKEA crap. There stuff holds alot more than these cabinets. When we put a contract on this house, we only had 3 kids. After our old house sold, but 3 mos before we moved in, we found out the pot stirrer was coming. No problem, we can turn the study into a bedroom. When she was about 9-10 mos, we learned about the baby. So, now, my formal living room is also a bedroom. The formal dining is a playroom. We are quickly running out of room and storage. We've been here 2 1/2 yrs and we've outgrown the place.
The hole in the wall is from DH. He was taking down the tile backsplash and the wall came with it.


Anyone on Facebook? I just joined and don't know much about it.

I can't get the hang of Facebook, I think I just don't like it very much. My niece had to block an old friend of hers for posting questionable pics that my grand-niece saw

First to admit Ive been neglecting my No lifers but Ive been off work and spendin time with my boy !!

But yes...lots of time spent gettin ressies...but I got every one I wanted.

Sorry, I've been away, too. I've been researching homeschool curriculum, then ordering it, now we're starting homeschooling. I have a few more things to order, but not much.
Oh, and I have a bunch of missing cabinets which is incredibly aggravating, but necessary with our larger than expected family.
Lets see, there is also puppy potty training, toddler potty training, BIL's surprise party over the weekend, dr appts, my mom is coming (AGAIN), regular ole chores on top of the crazy mess from tearing up the house, oh, and the baby has gotten her first tooth

I forgot to tell you guys I took a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon a few days ago. It would have been nice if it had not been 112 degrees and the helicopter is not air conditioned (it circulates air but it's not a/c). I was so soaked by the time we got back that I looked like I had jumped into a swimming pool.

Sorry about the dust. I believe you saw my thread about the worst household chores, mine was dusting. Can't stand it. And with all the household destruction, it is much worse.

Helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon, I'm jealous. Even sweating, I'm sure it was awesome to see.
