Gearing Up For a Birthmasiversary With the Mouse! - A Dec 09 PTR

Breathe? What does that mean?! Don't think i've done any of that for the past few hours :lmao: I am so wound up! :headache:
Zen, baby. Zen. :hippie:

I'm at the stage now where I think I don't care - I'm just gonna stay in the wilderness lodge for 9 days and nights and get drunk at the bar  Happy christmas to meeeeeeeeeeee  ;) I hold my hands in the air and wave them around and say 'I SURRENDER - I GIVE UP' No more moving around meals and days - can't do it anymore - my brain just wont work
You and me both, that's exactly how I feel about trying to re-schedule all of my ADRs at this point... ADRs that it took me 2 months to get just perfect. :scared: Forget it, i'm not starting over. No way, no how.

The way i've started seeing it is that I've got two options - sit here feeling totally stressed out for the next 5 weeks not being able to re-arrange everything yet again or I can just leave things as they are and have a couple of cocktails at MK which will help me totally forget about the freeloaders
Now THAT is the spirit! I love this, atta girl! ::yes::

I don't think they will remove people before MVMCP. They arent doing wristbands this year so how will they know who is who? When we were at MNSSHP last year, we bought tickets but werent asked for them once & i'm sure we didnt get wristbands either but we rode the rides and shopped etc... :confused3 Den said that if we're in any sort of queue for anything that day he is gonna ask to see people's tickets and if they havent got one he's gonna ask a CM to move them :lmao: Bless him! He doesnt like me being stressed out and ratty :rotfl2: I don't want these people hogging the good spots for the parades and fireworks during MVMCP or hogging the characters for photos either - it's just not fair!
I think Den and Ron will get along fine, he said something similar to me about it when I was going crazy and ranting about this stuff to him last night. :lmao:

I need chocolate, think that will help me  Will head to the kitchen once i've typed this

Yeah, there is no way i'm re-doing everything, just havent got the heart or energy anymore. The only thing i'm gonna do is swap out one of the little 'gaps' we had - is was gonna be for disney quest but we'll leave that for another trip and head to MK and do all the stuff on Main Street and watch the 3pm parade that day instead - as I think it's that area that is gonna be insane during the day on the 3rd. I'm gonna try and do everything we want in MK before MVMCP so that we can just concentrate on the xmas stuff during that incase the queues are big :confused3 How many times are you going MK? Was it just the 3rd?

I think the guys are gonna get along too :thumbsup2

Well, our current MK plan is as follows:

Dec. 2, 9:00am - 5:00pm (General)
Dec. 3, 7:00pm - Midnight (MVMCP)
Dec. 5, 6:00pm - 9:00pm (Spectro, Wishes, Shopping)

The 5th is the only date I'm stressed about, as it's our ONLY opportunity for Spectro/Wishes. :(

I think the guys are gonna get along too :thumbsup2
Good. They can talk guy talk while they hold our purses so we can shop. :lmao:

What time is it over there now?

We've kinda got the same, one full day and one late afternoon until closing. I'm sure we'll get everything done :thumbsup2 Just gotta stay positive I guess :rolleyes1

Sounds like a very good plan! Least we'll all be happy then, we can shop and they dont have too :lmao:

:wave2: Hi!!! I've been lurking from the beggining...thought i would come out and say :wave2:.

I too am a lover of crocs....in fact that is all I own!! :) I gave up on tennis shoes and the parks about 2 weeks ago when i had to walk out of Disneyland in my socks...:rolleyes1 don't tell disney!! I decided right there that i will not even bother packing those shoes. And bought new crocs a week later..:thumbsup2

I got a pair of crocs for my DH for Christmas, thinking they'd come in handy at WDW. I hope he likes them. He loves any sort of slip-on leather shoe like some made by Keen or Merrell that he wears all the time, so the clog style is something I know he likes. Whether he'll be into wearing something this "dressed down" I don't know, but if nothing else they will be perfect for yard work, canoe trips and the beach (he hates flip flops).

You poor souls. All worried about the taping day... Trust me if I was in your shoes, I'd be stressed out too. But Billie, you are 100%: There are far more important things to worry about and get stressed over. Just think of all those people who have had to cancel their trips because of swine flu! The most important thing to concern yourself with is staying healthy and being content in the fact that you are going to Disney World

I have a question though. Do they not restrict those who get in for free? I can't see the big head executives over at Disney missing out on such a large profit with allowing all these people to get in for free. There must be some things they will not be allowed to do :confused3

I'm so sorry that post upset everyone! I didn't mean to strik fear in your hearts and touring plans!

I saw the post on Twitter and immediately thought of Ty and wanted to let her know. I hope that was the right thing.

If it is any consolation, I'll be happy to do a RidMax plans for anyone who needs it. Will that help?

Hey there! I just started reeading reading your PTR and realized that we are going to be following each other for a few days. Our trip is for 12/3-12/7 and we are staying at AKL. :lovestruc

Our plans for 12/4 are to do AK (Flame Tree lunch) and then Epcot (Restaurant Marrakesh dinner w/CP Package). :santa:

On 12/5, we are planning DHS in the AM and then MK for the evening. I'm slightly stressed about the possibility of heavy crowds, but thankful that it won't be hot! I'm super psyched about Spectromagic b/c somehow we've always missed it. Crowded or not, we'll be there! :wizard:

It was around 9am when I wrote that. I work nights, remember? ;)

Yes! Stay positive! It's DISNEY WORLD, for cryin' out loud! :goodvibes

They'll love that, I'm sure. :lmao:

I love my Crocs still! I'm so excited to see how they hold up for me at Disney World! :cutie:

I read up on it some more, and technically anybody who takes advantage of this will be required to "work" for a four-hour shift in order to be allowed to stay in the park. In other words, they have to be exactly where there are told to be for a 4-hour block, for filming. Similar to being an extra in a film. Once they complete their 4-hour shift, they they are free to enjoy the rest of the park. And yes, they are limiting the number of people that they give this opportunity to. I think it'll fine! Good thoughts! :goodvibes

Ooooh. I might take you up on that! :thumbsup2

And no worries, I'm glad to have the heads up! Now I can be prepared for the worst!

Yay, welcome to the party! :jumping1:

I should probably post my updated itinerary at some point. LOL. Alot has changed since my initial planning! I've posted my updated finalize list of of ADRs, but not our actual day-to-day plans. Hmm, maybe I'll get on that here soon-ish! :rolleyes1

YAY! Just made another trip purchase, woooo!

Finally bought our "his and hers" Heys Travelmate bags. :thumbsup2 I got a pretty great deal at bagsbuy.com... The total including tax and shipping for both bags came to $46.73!

Once they arrive in the mail, I'll take my own pictures of them. :goodvibes

Well, that's one more thing off the list! I've about run out of things to do...

WAIT I KNOW. I need to start my packing lists soon! :lmao: I think that will be my next project!

Those are really cute and you got a great deal :goodvibes

Ran out of things to do?! Come round to mine and i'll give you some  I love the idea of a 'to post' list!! Do you mind if I nab that idea, because i'm always forgetting to update my PJ with things :rolleyes1

Yes, of course, go for it. LOL. I'm always thinking of things and going "Oh, I should write a post about that on my PTR!" Then... I get lazy.

I'm sorry the taping schedule is messing you all up so bad, wish there was something I could do to make it better. For some reason maybe luck of the Irish, we are not doing MK any of those days. Anyway I love the bags especially the pink one. I got a little deal the other day at Disney store they had a 25% off sale and I got an eeyore mug for 3.00 and a Tinkerbelle sweat suit for 3.75 each piece. Jacket and pants. Really cute and its pink.:cool1:

I've been busy this weekend so I'm just catching up now!! Sorry for your ruined plans :( I know last year I had some friends that went and they said Main Street is crazy but the rest of the park was fine but they also were not letting people in for free! I would bet that if they leave the park and can't get back in your night should not be ruined. I can see people coming for the parade, staying for the afternoon but leaving early evening especially if they are not permitted back in. I can't see how people would stand there for hours and then still be there into the night.

I would just get there early to find a spot for Spectro since that is important to you. I would doubt it would reach capacity. Even last year on Xmas day and New Years, it was into the late afternoon until they were full and those were on holidays!!

nice bags :)

But I've looked at our itinerary from every angle I can think of, and there's simply no other night that we could do it. It's only showing two nights that we will be there, the 2nd and the 5th. The 2nd we have to do Fantasmic, because it is only showing on the 2nd and the 4th, and on the 4th is our coveted Le Cellier reservation. All three of these things (Spectro, F!, and LC) are on Ron's fairly short "really looking forward to" list, and I don't think we should have to sacrafice any of them. :headache:

B]

What time is your dinner at Le cellier? On our last trip in Jan, we had a 5:30 ADR and still somehow made it to MK for Spectro. I don't think i've ever walked that fast....when we got in..we still had like 2 mins left....

I'm always thinking of things and going "Oh, I should write a post about that on my PTR!" Then... I get lazy.

Yay! I'm not the only one who thinks this!

Nice bags ;) Hope they suit your needs for the trip!!!! Can't wait to put mine to the test

Those bags look great and super-convenient! I think the cell phone holders would probably be too narrow for my iPhone, but I think having the phone pocket on the strap is a great place for it--really easy access!

Well, that's one more thing off the list! I've about run out of things to do...

Ok, I'm a big dork. I already started my packing list and I'm not going till a month after you! No, I'm not OCD, not at all, well maybe just a little bit. ;)

Ooooh. I might take you up on that! :thumbsup2

And no worries, I'm glad to have the heads up! Now I can be prepared for the worst!

No problem! I hardly use the program (ends in March 2010) and would like to spread holiday joy around! Just let me know when, though it is probably best closer to your departing date just in case sometihng changed/updatd with th program. :thumbsup2

I need park on wha day, starting time (ie: whn you expect to get on your first ride), ending time, if there is a Fastpass runner/utilizing late Fastpass and I can even program in your ADRs. And pow! A RideMax plan is made.

Love those bags, I wish I would have looked into bags more before buying my buston bag, yours is so much cuter, oh well.

I love your bags!!! I must say that we do travel the parks only with what's in our back packs, but I do carry a back pack because I have this insane need to be prepared with and for everything. LOL if anyone needs anything while in the parks, just find me. I have managed to get most of it in travel size which helps, but you never know when you may need some mole skin for a blister (ps- a GOD SENT if you ever have a blister; you can find it in target in the foot care section)

I see that these new taping days at the MK have been throwing a lot of people off. It's so crummy, I'm sorry that it's messing up your plans. It's sticky to spend all the time planning only for this to happen at the home stretch!!
