GCE Golf Carts at FW

I have not been able to contact the GCE Golf Cart rental company. Does anyone know their phone #?I've tried the 407-850-5559 # & there is no answer.Has the company gone out of business????How necessary is a golf cart anyway??We are staying in the Log Cabins and will have a car to go to all of the parks but the MK--I realize the cart would be FUN--but is it really that much more conveinent? Trying to save $ whereever can!!!

No, a cart is not needed. It's a fun convenience, but the internal bus transportation is very good, so you do not need a cart.

You can also rent a cart from FW - at the bike barn. You could rent one for a couple of the days you'll be there - maybe the days that you know you'll be spending more time in the campground. But, if you'll be in the parks every day, all day, then you probably wouldn't get your money's worth.

GCE's website is gone, so I'm not sure if they went out of business or not! I sure hope not! Let us know if you ever get ahold of them!

We have reservations for two carts from them starting June 2. They have not contacted me with any news of them not honoring those reservations.
If anyone hears that they are indeed shut down, please let me know.
I did call them about 2 weeks ago to add a day to my reservations and he said business was fine. And their web site was down at that time.

Hi,

I would skip the cart unless you have someone who might need it for medical reasons and then it might be more of a convience factor. As far as a fun factor...we bring our bikes! <BG> It's just as convient as having a cart and most of us don't get any excersie anyway, so this is a great way to get some!

you can also rent the bikes at Fort.Wilderness and they are a lot less than renting a cart anyway.
