GC Pool Question

We're staying at the GC the week of March 7th..does anyone know if the pools are open and if so, are we going to freeze if we use them?? Haven't ever been to California in March, so not sure what it will be like! I know it's warmer than Idaho, but not sure if the pools are even an option that early in spring!

Our family tends to go to DL end of January or beginning of February. We have stayed at the GCH the last few times and have used the pool. It is heated. We are from central Washington so the temps there that time of year feel warm to us. One time we were headed down to the pool in the evening and some locals saw us and said- hmmm, they must be from out of town. There is a hot tub if you need to warm up.

The pools are open year round and are heated. We used them in December though and noticed that one was significantly warmer than the others.

There is no "normal" March weather in Southern California. It can be a high of anywhere from 55-95 degrees. We tend to get unseasonal "heat waves" during the months of Feb-April. One might descend during your stay, or you might end up in the middle of a rainy, cold, storm system. No way to guess. You'll know what the weather will be like when you are AT the resort. Forecasts for this area are notoriously inaccurate, even a few days prior. Trust me, I've lived here over 7 years now.

In any event, the pools are open all the time, except when they are closed for refurbishment. You'll be able to enjoy the pools, even if it's cold and raining!

We were there on Monday and Tuesday and spent each afternoon in the pool. It was about 80-85 degrees and just beautiful out. My 4 year old passed the swim test for the water slide and must have gone down it about 30 times. Very fun!
Of course we forgot swim diapers for our 20 month old, but we found out the pool staff will provide you one for free. They only have larges, but it saved us the hassle of finding someplace that sells them.
