Just getting back fom Disney and cant wait to plan next trip . We drove by the Gaylord Palms a few times and absolutely loved the look of this resort . To all of those that have stayed there would you reccomend this place . How are the pools , the rooms the food any and all info is gooooood. thanks gaylord masters

I got this hotel on Priceline. I was intending on stopping by for a visit but I got to spend the one night there. If you can't or don't stay on Disney property this place is just about as spectacular. The room is not particularly large or small but the decore in my sections, called the Everglades was nice. It is casual but very nice. There three other sections. Half the rooms look out over the parkinglots but the other half lookinto the huge atriums and these all have balconies. You may look over the Everglades where there is a restaurant. You may look over the main atrium where there are waterfalls and plazas and caves. You may look over the Key West atrium where there is a ship in the water which is a restaurant. The main pool is large and is outside. It has a huge stone octopus with water squirting out the end of its tenticles. I would definately go back for another visit.

The atmosphere is fabulous, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the food.....well, the FOOD! Do give it a try if you can. It's a beautiful resort and an excellent off site option.

I also love this place. The pools are fine. The food is great and the theming is spectacular. What's really nice too is that they often run really good deals. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I agree this place looks impressive from the outside, however Frommer's (the most trusted name in hotel reviews IMHO) warns against "thin walls between rooms, and thin walls between rooms and hallways".

There's also the corporate legacy of the Opryland hotel people pulling their name off this resort at the last minute....hence the strange "Gaylord Palms" name today.

I have never been to the Gaylord Palms... But have been to the Gaylord Opryland once.

Note: They are both built and run by Gaylord.... And, from a couple things I have heard, they are very similar in feel and the level of service.

The Gaylord is indeed Gorgeous!!! They put a LOT of money and effort into their wonderful atriums, etc... just amazing.. However, this does not carry over into the quality, decor, or size of the rooms... (thin walls?????) And, we had serious Service problems while we were at the Gaylord Opryland. Which I understand some have experienced at the Gaylord Palms as well.

We could not get a wheelchair... Room service carts from the night before were in the hallways with their yucky leftovers even when we checked out after a late Sunday Brunch the next morning! Some staff could barely speack English, only thing our room service delivery guy could say was 'Cash...Cash...' Could you imagine not being able to charge it to your room.... then seeing it on your bill when you checked out??? We paid him with cash, but called Guest Services right away about the situation

I am sure it must be really spectacular! Just do not expect 5 star amenities or service.
