Gay Days non-Saturday Crowds

I've heard to avoid MK on Saturday the 4th of June because of Gay Days crowds. I looked up the Gay Days web site and, except for MK on Saturday, they seem to be following the Unoffical Guide recommendations for "best days", which I am planning to follow, too. How many extra people do you think come to the "designated" parks for Gay Days on Thursday and Friday? Hundreds? Thousands?

I've attended the GayDay parks the last several years. You are correct that the MK is crowded on Saturday, as it is every Saturday. For the rest of the parks you may notice a slight increase in attendance, but they are not "packed" and I've never encountered any long waiting times for attractions. You should be fine. They seem much busier the week AFTER GayDay.

I have, though, always taken the precaution of making a lunch PS for MGM.

We have gone the first week of June for the last two years. We avoid MK on Saturday and we have had no problems with crowds. That is not to say that there are not a lot of people there, but it has been quite managable. We have been in the other designated parks throughout the week and never would have known there was any special event going on, had it not been for the info on these boards.

Thank you! I became an Unofficial Guide convert last year at Disneyland, so I plan to follow its recommendations pretty closely...however, I didn't want to follow the "which day" recommendations if 30,000 extra people were doing the same thing!

I think a lot of the Gay Days crowd comes in only for the weekend. We've been three times that week and have never had huge crowds any of the other days even when we were at the designated park. We've been to MK on that Saturday, too, and it IS really crowded.
