Are either of these sold anywhere in the parks? If so, where? I looked at the dining menus, but thought they might more likely be at a shop somewhere. I tried to do a Search to see if there was a similar thread, but either the Search isn't working right on my phone, or there's not a similar question from recent threads. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!:wave2:

Powerade. Available in resort gift shops and CS locations, the market-style food shops in the parks, and at a number of food kiosks.

The red and blue Powerade is pretty much everywhere on property. If you want Gatorade, you will need to bring them from an off-property grocery store or The Garden Grocer.

We plan to bring some with us, but in August heat, I don't want to be carrying around a bunch of bottles of it. So I thought DS could have one for when we left in the morning and if he needed more during the day, we will just buy from vendors. THANK YOU again, for responses. I feel better now!! :goodvibes

Gatorade sells the powder in small packages. I bought the orange and red so that i can just refill my water bottles with water and make my own.

WOW, seriously???? Like at Walmart or something?? I've never seen them! Are they like Crystal Light powdered stuff? Now THAT is something I could carry around!! LOL :cheer2:

Excuse me for asking, but what's the difference between Gatorade and Powerade?

I don't know that there is a difference, really. Just a brand name. I know Walmart sells them side by side. Someone will probably have a better answer than this!! LOL. I buy which ever one is on sale. DS likes both of them! :goodvibes

Powerade has more sodium than Gatorade. That can be a problem for people with high blood pressure. My doc tells me to use the Gatorade. Hope that helps.

Actually, the reverse is true. More Sodium in Gatorade.

PowerAde: serving size 8 fl oz; calories 70; fat 0g; sodium 55mg; potassium 30mg; total carbs 19g; sugars 15g; protein 0g; vitamin b6 10%; vitamin b12 10%; niacin 10%

Gatorade: 8 fl oz; calories 50; total fat 0g; sodium 110mg; potassium 30mg; total carbs 14g; sugars 14g

PowerAde has half the salt (sodium) and more calories from carbohydrates than Gatorade. For some one on a low sodium diet, PowerAde is a better choice. For serious athletes, Gatorade has a slight advantage especially in hot climates. The average person working or working out in the heat should see no difference in the electrolyte effects of either product, but may enjoy the flavor of PowerAde more due to the extra sugars. This is a tough call.

Gatorade is made by Gatorade. Powerade is made by Coca-Cola (which is why Disney has Powerade). Beyond that, the differences are minimal.

Gatorade is a PepsiCo brand! That's why Disney doesn't have it unfortunately.
