BWWAAHHHAAAA I cant even think that with a straight face  :p

its about that time again.... there will be the grand plan begining August 26th but I know some of us ( read ME) need help with trying to get organized for back to school! Here is the site we will be following for the next week or so to try to get ready for the back To School Chaos :)
http://www.organizedhome.com/index.php

Whos with me?

anyone?

anyone?

Bueller?

Me too! Me too! I need help, I'm SO unorganized!!!

Kim:sunny:

I don't have anyone going back to school, but I am in the midst (continual, it seems) of reorganizing!

I've bookmarked the page, so (aside from the back to school part) count me in!

Great deal! :)

Im so glad you all are joining me!

The BIG one is the one that starts on the 26th!

That gets the ENTIRE house ready for the holidays~

This one is a warmup for that one :)

Well, we don't have school, my daughter is only 2, but we do go off to daycare every day, but that site just scared me lol. I am the queen of unorganization and I think I will stay that way.

I'll bookmark the page. I had gotten way off track. Thanks for this binny.

I am Almost40 on that board. Right now I am decluttering the basement and preparing for a garage sale on Fri & Sat.
I think this is FINALLY the last sale I have to have. I am down to just little clutter stuff.

So I would love to JOIN...

So what do we do first binny????

Hey MM Im Binny over there too ;) lol

We had all this stuff ready for a garage sale and dh said "NO" so we have someone coming to just donate all of it.

Were going to finish cleaning out the garage this weekend ugh so we can just get it over with.

I have a lot of work to do around the house too getting rid of all the clothes that are too small and toys that arent used. I have to say it will be SO nice to get rid of stuff!

I am starting my inventory list so I will know what everyone has to have before schools starts. 2 1/2 more weeks :) I think Im doing pretty well though I bought a pair of jeans for Cam last night at Ross ( Levis for $10!!). So I think that was all he needed.

Hopefully Im ready. I have to keep going on the inventory list to make sure though :)

Our first step will be clothes.
This is a BIG step!
Go into your kids room ( scary if its like my house lol, I know, Ill walk you through it ;) )
go through those drawers and find the clothes that are too small, ripped, etc and get rid of them! Dont just put them in a pile ( like I would have done lol) put them in a bag and as soon as youre done take them to garage to the yard sale pile or better yet put them right in your trunk to donate somewhere the next time youre out.
Do you have clothes that need to be repaired? Can you do that? If you can, take them straight to the sewing pile. If you cant, get rid of them or find someone who can fix it if you feel its worth it.

now you know what you need for school (or daycare or whatever) Make a list right away of the things you need to get through a week at least. We all know that some weeks we simply cannot get the laundry done so a week is a good amount of time to plan for I think. Need jeans? Underwear? write it down in your to do list. Dont forget measurements and sizes!

I think that is a great start!

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

This is the worst of the weeks, I promise! And the biggest task you'll face on this plan. :)

Dont forget to post your progress!

I have already started with the clothes. DD pretty much needs everything! I ordered a bunch of stuff from Lands End yesterday so I have a great start. When it gets here I will set everything out and see what is left that I need. I save all clothes that are not really stained or holey and let my Niece use them when she gets to that size. :)

I am trying to find a smaller size backpack for DD. Any suggestions for a pre-schooler?

I like the calender idea. I have one on my computer that I use, but it would be nice to have one that everyone can see. I will have to start on that next. :)

DITTO FOR ALL THE ABOVE!

I will join!!!
I have done the clothes already - did that a few weeks ago in preparation for school clothes shopping.

I am ready for organization!!! :)

With 4 kids in the house just imagine how many clothes we have that we dont need :crazy2: and I have a hard time getting rid of the baby clothes. Everytime I go through them to get rid of them I just remember how cute the boys looked in them.....lol.

Oh Deena I feel your pain!

I went through and set out all the special ones and then cut that in half.

It was SO hard but the only way I could do it.

I knwo what you mean Melessa!

We finally got the girls room done ( we wont talk about the closet yet though lol) now I have to finish sorting through the clothes.

Next week we will work on our "Launching Pad" I cannot tell you how much this helped us last year!! it made mornings so much easier! That wont take long so I think we will also work on the calendars :)

Ok, first step DONE! I've cleaned out their closets and drawers, now I have to make a list of what they need...everything! They have outgrown everything this summer. My DD9 is bigger than then usual 4th grader, she's into a size 16+ and I'm having a very hard time finding clothes that fit AND look her age. Most of the bigger clothes are just not fit for a 9 year old. Anyone have any suggestions? We're on a very tight budget and I'm so used to shopping at Target and Walmart(don't tell my kids, they have no idea!) for such great deals, but their girl sizes stop at 14/16.

I'd appreciate any help!

Congratulations!!! WTG to finish the first step!

Have you tried Ross or Marshalls or sometimes TJMaxx?
They have great deals there!

I dont know about the size/age appropriate though sorry.
