Gas- $3.99 a gallon

Most places are desperate to get people. I can't see widespread layoffs when many companies were and still are struggling to keep up with demand.

my oldest's employer has had the hardest time finding staff. they offer decent wages and great benefits. their newest enticement? a new employee benefit that offers $1 per gallon price reduction on gas (among their holdings are some gas stations). no layoffs during the pandemic despite state law shutting them down (they paid staff during the shutdown) but allot of staff simply chose not to return. we still have help wanted signs in almost every business/professional building you walk into as well as news pieces on previously very successful local businesses that have had to close shop entirely based on their inability to find staff.

Yeah same with me. I was offering $70+ an hour for civil engineers but no one applied. I had to beg people to apply after I extended the closing date. I guess no one is interested in working for government when the private sector is willing to pay more.

Hybrid car, electric bike. Ready for economic roller coaster wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Gas near me for regular unleaded is $3.24 to$3.69

Yay!

What part of the country are you in? I'm in northern south Jersey, yesterday we paid $4.09 per gallon. I hope the prices continue to go down. I guess is due to "0% inflation".?.

This morning gasbuddy posted that regular at our local Sam's Club is $3.19.

Everyone is so excited about gas under $4.00/gallon but it’s still double what I paid for on January 18, 2020. Not political. Just reminiscing about when I could fill up my tank for $35 not $70.

I hear you and agree. Still, it's nice to see the prices coming down a bit. I just hope the reports I have heard about the price per barrel tripling are not true. If they are true what will that do to price per gal?

I'm not excited. I still have a long wait yet to see under $4. It's $4.29 now and for some reason Sheetz (not a top tier fuel supplier) reduced it's premium to only $0.20 over, so it's $4.49. Everywhere else premium is still over $5.

I don't expect under $3 ever again. I would say my opinion of $3-3.25 is reasonable expected gas prices.

$4.29 here so can't say I'm excited. When it gets to under $3 I'll be happy about lower gas prices until then they are still way too high.

Filled up this past weekend for $3.11/gallon (central KY). Felt like I was stealing from someone.

Since flights during the Thanksgiving holiday are ungodly expensive, I'll probably be driving and hope gas prices continue to drop.

Sad people are excited about $4 a gallon gas when it was almost half that price two years ago. I guess that’s the trick if they raise it up past $5 a gallon, then lower it down a dollar then they think people won’t notice.
