Hi we just booked Contemporary garden wing . Dh realy wants tower . Looking for opinions of what was better . I did request 1st floor view of the lake . I know they don't have to give it to us Dh would like either view MK or lake as long as he is in tower. We are fluffy (Dh and Myself) kids are water bugs don't want to tromp my fluffy body in the elevator to the pool. Saving the scary elevator ride for tower of terror .:scared1: We are not going until Sept 2012 Also has anyone gotten free dinning that would be great.

Hi there. I can't answer which is better because i haven't stayed there yet ... but I recently looked at photo after photo and review after review to try and decide ... tower or garden wing. The tower views look amazing. But, i booked garden wing for our upcoming trip because we will never be in that room! We wanted to convenience of being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom. For us, this was the best option ... and also a bit less expensive.

Since the design of the rooms and etc in the Tower and Garden Wing are exactly the same, the only difference is the location and the fact all the Tower rooms come with a full size balcony. Now my family and I have only stayed in the Tower because we like having the elevator when going to their stores, restaurants and transporation options. However if you want to keep your Garden Wing reservation then that's ok.

Although I have never stayed in the garden wing, last year I did stay in the tower with a Bay Lake View. WOW!! I loved it. Just looking across the lake in the early morning and again at night was totally worth it. The balcony was wonderful to watch the electric water pageant from. Here's my view:

I've stayed in both. If you really don't want to be in the elevators than the wing is the only way to go since there aren't any ground floor tower rooms.

But if you do stay in the tower, there are plenty of people coming and going to the pool in the elevators, so don't worry.

Make sure you didn't book a standard view in the wing, because that will be of the parking lot, not the lake.

Op here thank you so much to every one Let,sgo Love the pic we are so EXCITED.:woohoo:

I've been in both and depending on how far in the wing you are there isn't alot of difference.I got upgraded once to club level which was really cool but,you are really close to the action either way.The biggest advantage of a garden wing is if you have a view of the lake you can see the show on the water every night without leaving your room!

Go with the tower or you wont feel like you are staying at the CR, just my opinion. May 05 we stayed in the garden (great deal $137 a night) and we were not happy...it felt more like a mod, we felt very removed from the resort. I know this sounds silly but the resort just didnt suit us

One other major difference I forgot to mention the garden wing is much much quieter in my opinion. If you like to sleep in that would be my pick,as we always heard the characater breakfasts at chef mickeys every morning in the tower. Not bad if you want to hear the mickey mouse club song every morning though!:happytv:

Well that also depends if your room in the Tower is close or right over Chef Mickey's and the floor you are staying on. Don't forget you can also stay in the Tower and get a room over their stores, so that means you won't even hear the noise from Chef Mickey's.

Personally, after my first stay at BLT, I would just automatically choose a room in the tower. The Garden rooms seemed too remote from the rest of the resort. Give in to the man and spend the extra money. You will be happy.

I completely agree. We stayed in the Garden Wing and felt very disconnected from the tower. The building itself was kind of shabby, and even though it was only a short walk to the tower, it had a completely different feel to it. One benefit was having a nice view of the electric water parade. We did, however, loooove the room, it was gorgeous and spacious. We may eventually stay there again, but definitely in the tower.
