Can anyone tell me what kind of area the garden view rooms face? Also which building is best to request with a garden view? Is ground floor better and do the upper floors have actual balconies or not? Is there a bakery at Poly or a place to grab a hamburger to take back to the room? Also, is there a place to pick up a pizza at night? Does the Poly have refillable mugs and how much are they? Also, if mugs are available, where do you purchase them? Thanks for any help.

We'll be staying at the Poly Garden View for the first time this November . . .

I requested Tahiti because I like the idea that it is close to the TTC and it's the last longhouse . . .There are balconies on the 2nd and 3rd Floor of Tahiti.

Some Longhouses do not have balconies on the 2nd floor . . .The patios are nice, but remember that there are cute little duckies who might come to visit . . .

There is a 24 hour Snack Area in the Poly called Captain Cook's. It has a variety of different things . . .burgers, b-fast stuff, coffee, etc . . .this is where you'd purchase the refillable mugs . . .I think they are 9.99? But not positive . . .Well worth the money in my opinion . . .Last time we were there we used them several times for soda, coffee, hot cocoa . . .Only thing was that we had to mark our initial on each of the cups because they all were the same color . . .

You can get an idea of what food is at Captain Cook's by checking out www.wdwig.com and going to the menus section . . .

Hope this helped!:)

I chose the Fiji building. You can get a room facing the marina, these rooms look out to the marina and the back of Volcano pool. The rooms on the oposite side of these have a small view of the lagoon and cove. They are close to the GCH and a monorail station. The third floor has balconies. However this is a busy area. If you want qiuet I'd choose the other end of the Poly.
Have you been to Tikiman's web site? I spent hours reading all of the info he has on each longhouse. He has everything you'd want to know there.
Sorry I do not know how to post a link. Maybe someone will see this and help you.
:p

I had originally asked to be in Nuie, only to find out that that building would be rehabbed during our December stay. My inclination was to request Fiji, but Tikiman suggested Tokelau. Since my kids are noisy, I think I'll request Fiji anyway!
