The first night we're there, we thought we'd kinda take it slow-- I've never been to the boardwalk, and we've been to WDW a million times, so I thought we'd do that.

We want to do a character dinner at one of the resort hotels, and are having trouble choosing between the seafood buffet at Garden Grove, or the Cape May Cafe.

Help? I think the characters are better at Cape May, but Garden Grove is just so cute, and I think Henry will like the tree and the lights.

Help?

The Cape May Clam Bake does not have characters, they only have characters there for breakfast.

Noted!

Garden Grove it is, then.

If I'm staying at a Disney Resort, will the Swan make me pay to park?

I would have said to choose the Garden Grove. We thought it was very good. The bread and desserts were fantastic!!! We were also very impressed with the character interaction and we were two adults!!

Sorry I don't know about the parking $$. But I've always wanted to try Garden Grove. I walk over there and peek in after a night at Kimono's and think about going.. but never do. Hope you enjoy it!:goodvibes

Yes you will have to pay to park. But you can park at DTD or MK and ride the bus over, or park at DHS and take the boat. takes more time but thats what I do since I refuse to pay for parking when staying at a hotel, much less just eating there.

I agree! I ate there for the first time when I was there Nov 26th-Dec 4th. It wasn't very crowded and the character interaction was great. Pluto sat down with me and acted like he was going to steal my stuffed lobster.:rotfl: We played tug of war with it for awhile before the waiter came by and got onto him.:rotfl:

Cape May does not have cerviche, lobster or calamari, which Garden Grove does. Even though I love the oreo bon bons at Cape May, I also agree that Garden Grove has the better desserts too.
