So we were in the land today. I read all the warnings about Soarin' and actually considered pulling one of my daughters out of the queue because she has some fear of heights and some motion sensitivity. i.e., mild motion sickness on the airplane and during long car rides. After riding it (yes, it was my first time, even though this is my fourth trip to the World), I realized how conservative those signs are. The ride was a breeze for everyone involved.

That being said, I think the Garden Grill needs a warning. Freaking rotating restaurant ruined my world. Couldn't see straight for like 2 hours. They should seriously put a warning on the website, at the entrance to the website, etc.

This restaurant has made me sicker than any ride. I even tried twice thinking that the first time was related to something else. I don't know if it had anything to do with it but I was on the upper level both times.

Really? It moves so so so slow, you wouldn't even know you were moving other than the fact that the scenery or whatever you want to call it changes, but its SO slow.

My husband got in a bit of an "argument" (not a real one but I don't know what to call it when we sort of pick on each other back and forth and just good naturely insist that the other is wrong) about the restaurant moving when we were there (of course I knew it did). Well eventually we moved enough that he saw I was right (it took a couple min) then the waiter came over and confirmed it. Until then he really didn't believe me because it moves so slow. I could only tell if I literally stared at a spot on the wall until I got up to it and passed it.

I don't understand how you would get motion sick on this, however I guess some people do. The garden grill is well advertised that it moves and I first ate here in 1988! You can see that it moves while you are waiting. THe food for me was not very good I have always loved it there and that's what maybe me not feel well.

Wow..You must really be motion sensitive..I have vertigo and also motion sensitive, but Garden Grill never bothers me.I know they advertise that it is a rotating restaurant.Maybe it needs to be larger/more noticeable

I knew it was going to rotate, and I have minor motion sensitivity, but didn't have any idea that the restaurant would bother me. I fly 10 - 20 times a year w/o issues, ride roller coasters, etc, but the restaurant really screwed me up. I think it may have been because I was sitting orthogonal to the direction of the rotation, since they suggest you put the kids on the outside of the booth. If I was facing the direction we were moving in, I suspect I would have been okay; however, I'm not willing to give it another try.
