I am trying to justify going to Garden Grill. When there are so many choices from all over the world, it seems silly to pick a place with such an "american" menu but my dd3 would like the characters i think. I can't find pics or reviews anywhere.

Honestly, it was the best and most enjoyable meal we had at Disney. It was much better than Chef Mickey's. You can both eat from the adult and child's platters and they will keep refilling both. I have picky teens and it was the only restaurant at Epcot that I was sure they would eat besides counter service.

This was my kids favorite last year! Unfortunately it was the only one I could not get this year :(

Our absolute favourite each time we have been. Its a tradition must do for us to go every trip. The characters are particularly attentive to every table, even for us...an older DINKS couple. And its the best characters. Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale. Chip and Dale are fab the way they pretend to play up with the food etc. Pleasant atmosphere, busy but not frantic. The tables are spaced well enough for a more personal experience than say Crystal Palace. And the revolving restaurant adds to the ambiance. You do become aware of how they operate the time slots when you have been a few times, one revolution per table sitting, but it still is a great experience and we have never felt rushed. The servers are very good. And will get you recipe cards for some of the dishes.
Having said that the changed menu May this year was a bit dissapointing, we thought the lack of normal fab potato dish was a serious omission. A few cubes of herb roasted potatoes didnt cut it when you are used to Potato casserole or the mash dish they used to do. And the refill dishes we had to request rather than be actively promoted for us like we were used to. We were not on DDP by the way. Full paying. So a bit miffed. We put it down to the economy. Not a serious problem. Just noticable for us because we have been here loads of times. The desert change though was so fantastic that we instantly forgot the lack of special potatoes. The Blueberry buckle was to die for. Another bonus is the family style. All you can eat, but served rather than buffet. Very relaxing. We love the pace of this restaurant.
We will be back.

allears.net and put in Garden Grill. I was going to eat there but after the reviews i wasnt happy with what alot of them said. I also decided against it as we will only do one Epcot day and there are other places to eat than that. I did decide on Trails End Restaurant at Ft. Wilderness. I heard you can eat there (great buffet with comfort foods and great fried chicken) and then do the campfire later on with Chip & Dale and roast marshallows.

We love Garden Grill. The food is good and you feel like you're alone with the characters when they come to your table. The kids love how the restaurant turns while eating.

We just went to Garden Grill this month. While I enjoyed the food, especially the mahi-mahi, it was a very cramped space, and very loud -- from the sound being used in the Living with the Land ride.

It was the only dinner in which I felt rushed, as well. The characters all seemed to come by so quickly, we barely had time to get our cameras up to take pictures.

We will not be going back there.

Great character interaction. Much less loud and busy compared to the other character meals. The food is very mediocre. This coming from someone who is not fancy about food at all. It is good enough, but nothing to write home about. It's a great way to see Mickey without having to battle the Chef Mickey's crowds.

We ate at the garden grill on July 13, 2009. The food was not very good, very dry meat. The exception was the salad. That was very good. It was my son's birthday and he enjoyed it mainly for the salad. We also felt rushed and cramped in the booth. Service was okay but it feels a little strange not being able to see the restaurant. We were on the bottom facing out. Character interaction was really good so I guess that made it worth it. If you want really good food, you will probably be disappointed.

We ate there in January 2009 with our then 18-month-old and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the food was fine (but I'm no foodie). The characters were great--my impression is that there are fewer tables per character at Garden Grill than at other character meals so they come by more frequently and spend a little more time at each table. Our server was wonderful, very fast and attentive. The best part for us was that the server brought everything to our table so we didn't have to stand in line and the kiddo didn't have time to get bored.
