which has better food?? its the same thing it looks like...Thanksgiving dinner, right?
(i know chip n dale are at GG, which we could take or leave)

Are you aware that Liberty Tree is no longer a character meal at all?

oh yes, i know, no characters at LTT...so does that make it a no brainer that i should do GG instead?

I couldn't tell you that - I haven't eaten at either. I've done LTT for lunch years ago and liked that. The dinner is different from the lunch. But if you are looking for characters, you might have to cross LTT off the list.

We much preferred our meal at LTT over Garden Grill. It's been a year since we've been there, but the food at GG was pretty tasteless, and several of the entrees were only lukewarm. The characters there were great, though. We had LTT before MNSSHP last year, and all four of us enjoyed the food. It was fresh, hot, and we got more of whatever we wanted. The dessert was really good, too. Disclaimer: I LOVE turkey and mashed potatoes - due to an ulcer I am limited to non-spicey foods. It was by no means an exotic meal, but good old fashioned comfort food. Dh who is somewhat a foodie enjoyed it. The girls ate better there than they did all week.

We ate at both in August. We MUCH preferred the food at LTT. I think LTT was our favorite meal. Garden Grill was a fun experience for the kids (loved the characters and the turning restaurant) but we had a slight issue with the air conditioning vents on the ceiling dripping on us and our food throughout our meal. :confused3

I ate at LTT last year while it still had characters at it was yummy! I debated about booking it again this year since no characters but my hubby was insistent .... he missed out last year b/c he was sick and didn't want to miss it this trip either. We are a large party this year of 11 and I think since it is just regular comfort food, it will please everyone. (even my friend's little girl who is super super pickey ... she will love the warm buns :rotfl2:)
Never been to GG so I can't help you there.

We ate at both last year and all preferred Garden Grill over LTT. The food was okay, but we thought it was a bit better at Garden Grill.

I will add that we did not have an attentive server at LTT. We were right by the kitchen door, so he walked by us every time he went in or out, yet he never checked on us and we had to stop him just to get the check. That took forever also.

We did Garden Grill last week and loved it. The salad, bread, and dessert were fantastic. The characters were wonderful, but our favorite part was the sweet tea ( you can hardly find it in WDW). The main entrees were okay, but the salad and dessert more than made up for them. It was my husband's favorite meal of the trip. It included a turkey with dressing/ Mahi Mahi with veggies/ and flank steak with roasted potatoes. I don't like flank steak, so that was part of why I would only rate the entrees as okay. Oh, and the characters were Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto. So much fun to have Mickey all to yourself. We did several character meals and this was the one where the characters spent the most time with us. It was wonderful. I ate at the LTT a few years back and loved it. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the colonial feel to the whole thing. I remember the food being fine, but nothing to write home about. All in all, I don't think you could go wrong with either. I enjoyed both of them.
