Galveston to San Juan....or somewhere else. Jan 4th 2016 Wonder-Completed

Oh Jenny, what an adventure ! Trust you to know someone with a jet :rotfl: I'm so pleased that your mum is OK now, but what a worry, I didn't know you had all been through this, I didn't see anything on FB  It sounds like the first part of your cruise was lots of fun and your photos have been great, but don't try and kid me that you go to all these bars for the quizzes :rotfl2:It's for the Stella and cocktails !! ;)

Are you hoping for another Galveston cruise or will you be heading back to Orlando ? Have fun planning your next cruise whenever it is

Take care ... all of you :)

Mandy - It was such a whirlwind to be honest that it didn't make it to FB! Ha ha! My sister stayed for the first week as I needed to get back to work and then time just seemed to fly by! :chat: In the middle of all the stuff with her kidney, Mum also had a fall (left that out as I didn't want to REALLY make the trip report a never-ending saga :rotfl:) and shattered her ankle, so she had to go back into hospital for surgery on that and is still dealing with a walking cast and wheelchair. It's all go!! The quizzes are a means to an end :P you know me better than that. We have a 4 night booked when the Wonder comes back to Galveston at the end of this year. It will be post-dry dock so we may stick with that one. Other than that we are planningless!! This must be fixed!! :thumbsup2 I'm waiting to hear all about your non-DCL adventures and maybe it will inspire me. :boat:

Bless her, I hope your mum is on the mend and feeling much better now hun ::yes:: I can't wait for our Hawaii adventure this September, so excited !! As for 2017, we made 2 deposits with DCL, but the prices are crazy, we're seriously thinking of trying RCL, but we will see :)

It has taken me a little while, but I thought I would post the charges from the medical center in case it helps anyone else if they are ever in a position to have to use them.

Trip # 1 included the initial consultation, a bag of IV fluids and 5 different prescriptions. The consultation was $149.00, other services were $214.00 and the 5 prescriptions were $15.24. Total $378.24
Trip # 2 included a follow up consultation, a bag of IV fluids and 2 different prescriptions. The consultation was $71.00, other services were $197.00 and the 2 prescriptions were $15.94. Total $283.94
Trip # 3 included a discharge consultation, a bag of IV fluids and some blood work. The consultation was $43.00, other services were $143.00. Total $186.00

Total for all 3 visits: $848.18.

I thought this was very reasonable compared to the costs we would have paid at an urgent care on dry land.

I really enjoyed your trip report and am so relieved to read that your mother is healthy again!! It was fascinating to read a first hand account of how one gets off the ship at one of the stops underway! And those arial pictures of St John and St Thomas are fantastic!!
