Hello,

We're finally getting to go home between July 6-15. Long story short, youngest daughter decided not to join us and oldest daughter's boyfriend will be taking her place. This whole thing was just decided yesterday. DVC cast member was wonderful helping me change everything over for us.

My real question is, boyfriend loves Star Wars and is very excited about visiting HS. I tried all evening to try to get a Resi for daughter and boyfriend at Oga's Cantina. I realize how late this is, but are there any tricks to get them in for a drink. BTW, they both just graduated college and are of age. She's attending Grad School and he's a commissioned Marine going to Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA this fall. So, they are definitely adults. When I typed daughter and boyfriend, I think high school age and I don't want anyone thinking.... well you know. Any help would be great!

I read the other day I believe somewhere on the rumor and news board that OGA’s is accepting walk ups again if there’s space. I would say the best chance to get a walk up space is when the first open or towards the end of the day at HS once everyone hops over to another park to see the fireworks.

Best advice is to check often for a reservation. Also set up an ADR finder - they work! If all else fails you can try walk up.

Agree on setting up for a reservation finder. And even once you're there check if you haven't gotten something by then. Last resort try the walk up.

i think you are mistaken. He’s not a officer yet he won’t be until he graduates ocs. But he’s doing himself good serving our great country. Great job. Your daughter knows how to pick them. SEMPER FI

The challenge with Oga's is it was built to allow communal standing/seating, and with them not seating/standing unrelated groups together, it destroys capacity.

Not dissimilarly, this is undoubtedly part of why Trader Sam's remains closed.

Assuming it is open and (most) capacity restrictions are done by then, have them walk by in the last half hour or so of Park operations.

To each their own, but i didn't think this place was worth it. Drinks are $$$$ and the atmosphere is lacking. If they have never been sure i can see going once, but i wouldnt be heartbroken if you cant get in

I suspect the atmosphere may depend a little bit on the crowd and exactly where in the playlist you hit it. When the room is reasonably busy and Una Duey Dee comes on, it can be a lot of fun. And yes, the drinks are pricey--another reason I'm grateful to be sober!

Update... got a resi for 4 on Monday, July 12th at 4:30pm. Moral of the story is don't give up and keep trying. I had been trying on the computer with no luck for almost 2 weeks. I finally tried on my phone and a couple open spots popped right up. No clue if this was a complete coincidence or not. But, I'll be attempting to get resi's on my phone from now on. Thanks to all for their help!
