Well, let's see I gained 6 pounds in 7 days, if that's possible but obviously it is because here I am:p We had a wonderful stay at the Swan and ate till we couldn' eat more...first set of reviews below:

Friday April 11: Chef Mickey's Dinner--B
Fun and lively, average food, though the mashed parmesan potatos were great.

Saturday April 12: 50's Prime Time--B
Atmosphere wonderful, service great, food was average. We ate Chicken Pot Pie, Turkey Sandwich, and open faced steak sandwich...Also the S'Mores for dessert, as always the best part of the meal!

Sunday April 13: Trails End Buffet--A
Just wonderful. Relaxing atmosphere, excellent fresh food, attentive service. A real gem and very inexpensive.

Monday April 14: Tusker House--B
We had Connections vouchers and it worked fine. VERY BUSY PLACE! We ate broiled chicken which was good with green beans and potatos. Cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert.

Also, in between these wonderful meals we nibbled on sugar roasted almonds, pretzels and melted cheese, Snacks from our Fanny packs...

More reviews to follow...

Blessings,
Emmy

Your reviews convinced me to try out the Trails End. We always enjoy Chef Mickeys an noticed that you gave Trail's End a A and Chef Mickeys a B.

So if Trail's End gets a higher grade then Chef Mickeys it most be fantastics. Great Reviews

Mike, Trails End is a totally different experience than Chef Mickey's. There are no characters, more of a limited food choice and it's very low key...But wonderful. They have awesome fried chicken, their soups (both times I have been there) have been exceptional, chilis, cornbread...real down home food.

It's very relaxing and pleasant, there is also a petting zoo behind back, and a game room inside Traile End...Enjoy!

Thanks for your reviews, Emme! I would agree that you can't put Chef Mickey's and Trail's End in the same category. Trail's End is a red checkered picnic tablecloth kind of place where you drink out of Mason jars. Very subdued compared to Chef Mickey's. If you're a Davey Crocket Fan take a walk around the whole place and look at All the Crockett memorabilia. This is not a buffet with lots and lots of choices. What they do make (pretty limited) is very good and reasonable for WDW. You won't find cakes and pastries for dessert. Just cobblers.

Thanks for the reviews Emme - gotta love those parmesan mashed potatoes at Chef Mickeys :)

Haven't eaten at Trail's End for many years but we enjoyed it too. Such a great place for a quiet break.
