Gain weight, lose weight, or break even?

I think you will break even because you will be walking A LOT! You may even lose weight!

I usually break even.

I've never gained (or lost) weight while on vacation, but I can't speak for anyone else.

Pretty much everytime time we go, everyone either breaks even or loses a little weight. We usually eat a lot of food there, but we definitely lose that weight from walking a lot.

We just got back a little over a week ago and I managed to only gain one pound :cool1:

We ate like piggies with all that delicious Disney dining..so I'm considering that one pound a huge victory!! :earboy2:

We had our 10 day trip to WDW in Janauary and I broke even!! I ate well too and did lots of walking. I was stunned too to see the scale at exactly the same weight because I enjoyed the food there....... :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

I break even or even lose. I took a pedometer this last trip, and walked an average of 10 miles a day. A few days we didn't do much, but some days we walked 15 miles. All that walking really burns calories.

It depends entirely on when we go. When we go in the summer I always lose weight because I can't eat a lot when it is hot outside. When we go in the winter I either break even or gain a pound or so.

We just got back on Sunday from a 10-day trip. I gained about half a pound. I can live with that. When I went on the 7-day cruise, I gained 8 lbs!!!

I usually gain about 2-3 pounds water weight that I loose within 4 days of getting home. All the walking around helps.

About 3 weeks before our trip I decided that I wanted to get down to my "wedding day weight" so I lost 8 pounds. I get little exercise so I lost the weight by eating next to nothing.

We were at WDW for 10 days. We had at least one sit down, multicourse meal per day. Ate Mickey Bars, Dole Whip, crepes, Ghiradellis, snacked in the room. And walked walked walked walked every day.

Result: gained 1.5 pounds which is a tiny amount given all the food I shoveled in. Exercise is an amazing thing. (When we went to Paris last year, I actually lost 2 pounds.)

I never worry about what I eat while I'm at Disney World and I usually eat a lot, including desserts. I break even almost ever time and once in a while I will loss a pound or 2. If I only kept up the pace at home that I do there, I could eat whatever I wanted...

I thought I would gain a lot of weight when I went last year, but I didn't. I was really too busy to eat anything. I drank more water than anything else. I was pretty proud of myself!

We must have ate alot because both DH and I gained about 5-6 lbs in 6 nights!!!! We had the dining plan and that provided us with alot of extra ice cream snacks, dessert with every table meal and lots of buffets. We went to parks everyday walked and walked, drank tons of water (no soda or other drinks during the day) and even walked from Disney Studio's to Epcot but that dining plan is just alot of good food. We are normally very active with a 3 and 1 year old and take lots of walks and bike everyday at home-- but now that we're home for a couple weeks with usual activities we are back to regular weight!!!!

Sounds like "break-even" or so is the most common outcome. My DH and I dropped a few excess winter pounds so we could get closer to our "fightin' weight" for the trip. I could still stand to lose 10 pounds more but it won't come off easily (not without some excercise, lol ;) .

I don't eat much at home (no time, crazy schedule, etc.) plus my cooking's not that outstanding, especially when I only have 20 minutes to prepare the meal, lol. But I do love good food and we are using the MYW dining package so I expect we will eat like piggies, too. :goodvibes And the desserts are free so we might as well order one. And then they will be so yummy that we might as well eat them. I can imagine it now. I will be happy if I only gain 1 or 2 pounds. :rotfl2:
