I did a search and did not see an answer to this so I will ask in a new thread.

I have signed up for GAD as the lead volunteer. I signed DW up for as a Family member volunteer under the same household.

We have both selected the same volunteer event. I received a Hands On Network email stating, 1) I signed up 2) I have selected an event 3) a reminder that my date is do 4) DW has not selected her event yet.

She has received an email only stating that she signed up for Hands On Network. We used the exact same steps to select her event accept she is a household member not a lead volunteer.

I contacted the volunteer organization and she told me DW is all set and she will just confirm us both on Monday after the event in the Hands On Network Disney system.

Does anyone have experience with a group signup where only the lead volunteer shows the event? Will we be unable to have DW complete the GAD voucher sign off because her name does not show the event selected before the event happened?

This morning I found my own answer to my question. Since the organization did not verify the signup for my DW she did not get a voucher.

I signed up and was verified then she signed up for the same volunteer event. We both worked the event as planned. I got an email with the voucher. She did not. Next to her name on the Hands On Network list it says she cannot sign up as the program has ended.

The person at the agency we volunteered for was appearently mis-informed and did not complete her signup and now there is no more GAD. DW did not mind volunteering the time but I am disappointed that when I pointed out the problem before the weekend we were told it would not be a problem. Now there is no voucher.:sad2:

Phone 407-827-5990 and explain what happened. Maybe something can be done.

When I signed our family up, I received an e-mail showing only 3 out of 4 of us were signed up. I couldn't figure out how to add my son again. When I called that number, they were able to walk me through it.

Even though I still do not have an e-mail showing all 4 of our names, everytime I check our status (future volunteer date) - it does show all 4 of us signed up for the event now.

Go straight to technical support. I was able to get more help and correct
answers this way.

Thank you for the information.

Unfortunately The date of the event already passed so they won't be able to help me the way they helped you. The other issue that we are up against is that the GAD is not accepting any new volunteer events.

I think the person who told us DW could be activated that day did not count on Disney shuttting down GAD so soon.

We both volunteered our time and would have done so even if GAD was not a benefit.

Thanks and have fun.

It has been a while but I have an update to my problem. DW was signed up but never confirmed for the volunteer event. The organization coordinator said she could confirm her the weekend of the event and then verify we had done our time the following Monday.

Then GAD ended that weekend so she was unable to verify DW but I had already been verified so she could mark me as complete.

I sent an Email to the GAD link and got a response saying this would require more research and to please wait two weeks.

So I faithfully checked my email for more than two weeks and got no response. I decided to call yesterday. I had all my info in front of me to explain the situation but I could not log on to Hands On Network since it was down for maintainance.

I called the number in a PP and selected Option 2. Someone answered right away. I told him my phone number attached to the account and explained the problem. He said my DW is already verified and she can print her voucher.:scared1: He said they would have had no problem overriding the system to get her a voucher.

So I logged into Hands On Network a few minutes later and there it was!:woohoo: Now we have two fasspass days1:banana::banana:

I am soo happy for you!:banana:

Have a great time on your trip!:wizard:
