GAAAHH!! Just GIMME the FREAKIN' RATES already!

And I thought waiting for a code was hard!

I'm waiting to know how much the 2008 rates are going up, especially for the rumored weekend increase, to see if we will be going deluxe or not. So this is like pins and needles.

I really feel for the people going in January! Since most of us on here are super planners, not knowing this close to vacation (only a WDW vacation planner would call 6 months out "close") must be like nails on a chalkboard.

I know how you feel....I'm one of those "January" travelers that can't plan I will be able to make my ADR's July 10th. Hopefully at least the room only rates will be out by then !

I'm in the same boat, going the second week of January. I can't believe I'll be making dining reservations before I have a package booked! It's really ridiculous. Some people plan for over a year in order to save up enough money for a vacation, and to not know how much they'll need or where they'll be able to afford to stay is nuts. I ended up booking a room only reservation a couple months ago just to make myself feel confident that we will have a place to stay, but we plan on doing the dining package, and you can't switch an existing ressie from room-only to a MYW package, so booking that room is really pointless in the end.

Yes- I'm a Jan. traveler and this is driving me CRAZY!!!! I'm a teacher out for the summer and I'm finding myself checking these darned boards many, many times a day for rates! I don't want to go ahead and book room only b/c my parents are traveling with us- but they already have their tickets. So, it will be one room only and one package with tickets- don't want to have to change from two rooms together with room only to one room package and one room that will be room only- make sense???
Anyway, come on rates!!!!

I know what you mean, I am one of those people who already have reservations. In fact, I made it for the first week in January and split my stay so I could get a value rate. Now my week is not showing up on the Wonderful weeks (whatever that means) Now it is up to my growing imagination and it is growing. I have had and heard all kinds of ideas on what the new rates might be. So here we sit, and wait and wait, I feel like I am going crazy. If it all turns out for the best we will all be happy. I am booked and half way paid off (I thnk) so there is no turning back now.

We're moving our trip this year, becasue we're wondering what's going to happen, we decided that it would be nice to try to go before Christmas. We'll see what it does to AP rates, then decide if we'll renew the AP that's expires at the end of the year.

Anyone can make a reservation 180 days out, whether they are booked or not.

However, if you want to book all your ADRs at once at the 180 day mark you will need a reservation number for your lodging.

You can make a room only reservation now and switch it to a package later, that way you can make all your ADRs at the 180 day mark.

Hi I am on the phone as we speak with Disney 1800 8280228 . I made a reservation for Jan 31 2008 for 6 nights and they are telling me that it is not there. I never received my paperwork in the mail , so I thought I would call and check and boy am I glad I did. NO reservation. I'm a little upset, but at least I have enough time to do it all over again. I guess its good I stay on top of things. Has anyone stayed at the Boardwalk Inn? Let me know how you liked it asap. Thanks

Well, it's good to find that out about ADR's but I usually plan what day we are eating where by what park we are going to that day. So if the rates and park hours dont come out soon, I still won't be able to do it.

So, this morning when I logged onto my computer a reminder popped up that I had forgotten about. Seems like today was one of the "rumored" dates that I had read on here a while back. I went to the site to check it out while hoping and praying........STILL NOTHING. BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is killing me! I need to find out just how much the rate increase will be for Fri/Sat nights so I can decide if I'm going to adjust my time so that DS won't miss as much school. And to decide between a Mod or Deluxe.

When I called to check rates for Sun 1/20-Fri 1/25, the CM told me I would escape the new weekend rate differential. But, of course, he could only quote me the '07 rates. Now, what I thought was interesting is that MLK day was not priced higher. At least, not yet. We'll see.

The Boardwalk is one of my favorite resorts. The have a Boardwalk thread here on the resorts board. It will give you a ton of information. It is number 1 in my book.

Y'know what's really driving me crazy about this whole thing? This is the first time I was willing to turn everything over to Dreams Unlimited and let them handle booking and checking for codes. I was looking forward to having someone else take care of the dining reservations and keeping a watch for discounts. But if the rates aren't out by July 9th I'm going to have to start calling every day to make my dining ressies myself and check every day for the new rates and/or codes. And then what is the point of bothering to use a TA? I will have already done all the work! I can't even fill out the forms for DU in advance because they only have 2007 dates activated as choices on their website.
