As part of our WDW trip...12/7 thru 12/15...we made sure that we visited US/IOA as we had never been there before....
Dare I say it???..........we ABSOLUTELY LOVED these parks....
It was me 45 year old roller coaster loving mom and two daughters...ages 12 and 14 and a 14 yo friend...(oh how we wish she would not have gone on this trip with us)
...
Anyway....we were picked up by Mears at the AKL...and return trip was arranged at that time....($12 roundtrip per person)...can't really beat that...(the only time I would recommend using Mears)....
LOVED US....we were there prior to park opening...the staff kept everyone entertained at the gate....the employees seemed very natural in their humor...played various games with those of us standing in (a very short line)....
Did ET...Jaws...MIB...Twister...more that I'm missing....the queues are just as good...and in some cases better than Disney....NEVER met an employee that wasn't incredibly friendly....
Jumped over to IOA....absolutely LOVED that park as well.....rode Hulk twice...Spiderman...three times....WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THAT IS......did DD Ice....Hitchcock....(even dd's loved this one...sorry to see it go)....
Ate at an Italian spot in US...can't recall the name but the food was awesome and the cashier gave me a AAA discount even tho I didn't have my card with me.....
US/IOA....is an ABSOLUTE DO NOT MISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met a woman at a gift shop across the street from Hitchcock that told me that they are trying to "do better" than Disney....
They certainly made the grade in my book.............
The only thing that might make it better....(too late now that the parks are established...would be to make the areas wider for walking...(as it is at Disney)....things seemed to be pretty...(too
much)?? compacted....
BTW....Mears drops off very close to the escalators.....very short walk indeed..........
We would definitely return should we be able....
Its just so easy to plan a WDW vacation....I don't seem to find the same Internet resources for planning a "dedicated" vacation to US/IOA...please....someone help me out here....would love to do a few days onsite at US/IOA!!!!
