If anyone is interested SW DING just came up Valid Dates of Travel are October 1 - December 18 with a $38 one way from BWI - MCO, $42 one way from New York/Islip - MCO,$72 one way LAX - MCO and varied others

thanks! i saw that! just wish they would hurry up and open my dates (jan 12-18!)

DARNIT! I deleted DING because it got corrupted somehow. I just reinstalled it but the offer that popped up when I dowloaded it expired at 2:00 pm CST. Did I miss it? :guilty: :badpc:

I saw that today and I'm hoping that comes up again when I have enough in the bank to book it for my dh and me. We'd like to take a little "vacation" away from the kids if we can swing it the 1st weekend in Nov. We'd either be flying into Orlando or Tampa. We'll see...

Something I have noticed is that every couple of days they have a repeat of prices - so with that said you may still have a chance -Good Luck :genie:

I so can understand a Vaca from the kids - I have 4.....

We leave in 26 days and a wake up ; we are flying into TPA and flying home from MCO - Got a great deal with excellent flight times!!!!

Just nabbed by first DING! fare earlier today for PHX to LAS for Thanksgiving weekend. I already have WDW booked for Thanksgiving week, but it's looking iffy due to the time involved. LAS is a one-hour flight, so I can leave Thanksgiving morning and return Monday morning, miss most of the airport crowd and make my Monday afternoon meeting! :)

I didn't want any more money on deposit with SWA than I already have, so I cancelled my Christmas PHX to LAS flight, booked the DING! fare with those funds, then changed my existing Thanksgiving reservation to Christmas! Saved a bit over $40 RT.

I'm hoping for Thanksgiving at WDW, but have a back-up plan--just in case! :)

I GOT DING'D AGAIN AND THIS TIME - I GOT IT!!!! $38 ONE WAY FROM BWI TO MCO!!!

I can only do the first half of my trip because my ding is only good thru 11/30. Flights home are all sold out anyway ON 12/4 so I guess I couldn't have done any better. I had booked this originally as two one way trips for just this very reason - in case one of my flights prices changed, I wouldn't have to give up seats on our other flight.

Now my total price for my roundtrip has gone from over $1,000 to around $600. I have enough in my SW account to get another trip FREE if I get good DINGS!!!! :goodvibes

OK I just got the one that ends on Nov 30 but also wanted to return on Dec 4. So would you suggest booking one way and hoping for the return to become a Ding? Or is that too risky? Maybe book the Ding out and a fun fair return? That is more but possible right? Thanks!

I am not saying that you should risk it - but what I have noticed with the DING rastes is that that seem to repeat every couple of days with the same fare from...for example - my home airport BWI to MCO for $38 one way...to me it was worth the risk because even if I paid the Internet fare it's usually only $49-$79 one way - Did any of this make sense????

Another suggestions is flying in or out of TPA - that is what we are doing because the flight into MCO from BWI was sold out for the time we needed/wanted - So our itinerary looks like this

Oct.8 BWI - TPA arrv. 11:30 am (DINGed Fare of $47) (drive time about 1.5 hrs. to Orlando)

Oct. 14 MCO - BWI arrv. 9:30p (DINGed fare of $38)

Roundtrip for 6 - $510. (got one free round trip with my points)

Alamo - picking up Minivan($247 for the whole time) at one airport - dropping of at another = no add'l charge

Returning to the HOUSE OF MOUSE ::MickeyMo - Priceless

25 days and a wake up -
