FYI: (national) Convertible $$

Well following the EA info about price drops I checked my 17 day rate August and it went from 455.00 to 437.00, so saved some $$ thanks. BUT thought I would play around and try out a few prices different codes and cars. Best combo still being the EA with priceless and the entertainment coupon. the compact is about the same price and you lose the coupon. But at the last second I did (for the heck, of it) try out the convertible and it in the same combo came up $502.00, This is still LESS than my original EA price was about 2 months ago. Right now I have both being held, and thinking about There is only 2 of us (myself and sister) BUT we don't travel light for that many days, and luggage is going to be an issue. Of course, I could stick her on magical express going with our luggage and meet her there in about 4 or 5 hours she could find me at the pool? if she is delayed? And I've read, I might be able to give united out luggage at the poly even if not using ME going back? Or we could always stick her in a last minute cab if it does not work with the luggage. We will be getting in at nite, so hopefully the afternoon storms and main heat will be somewhat gone and we could open the roof, thus making luggage easier.

Anyone know the size / type of convertible National has these days? That eclipse from a few years ago was pretty small.

Chrysler Sebring was what we had in April. Trunk is very small. 17 Days? Wow! Are you staying at the Poly the whole time? I can't say if $502 is good for 17 because I've never ever stayed half that long at one time! We really enjoyed our convertible in April. It was actually an accident, we booked a full size car for 8 days, when we got to the lot there were only compact cars and one convertible left. The attendant told us to take it! We paid $134 total for that car for 8 days. We decided to not get one for our August trip because it is sooooo HOT. We figured we would be looking for lots of A/C and little sun when we got to the car. However....I do have a convertible booked for next April

Yes, in march we moved 3 times (pors, wonder, and poly) so we decided to just stay put! I know it is very expensive, might be our last AP big trip thou with the changes? who knows? In march, I had a great EA rate for 18 nites of $345.00, but haven't been near that for august and check constantly. This is about what the price runs in august.

As for the convertible, the price is the lowest I've seen for our dates. In march that ran about $700.00. Wasn't going there. But for about a $60.00 difference might consider it. I'm willing to put the top down later in the evening or in the am, and run the AC at the same time.
