FYI - Disney Reloadable Giftcards do qualify for 4x fuel rewards at Kroger

My Kroger grocery store sells Disney gift cards in several quantities. They sell them in increments of $25, $50, a three-pack of $15 cards, and reloadables which could be activated for amounts between $15 and $1500.

After reading about using gift cards to pay for trips to Disney we decided that we at least wanted to pay for a portion of our upcoming trip using them in order to cash in on the 2x fuel rewards.

This week Kroger is advertising that they are offering 4x fuel rewards with qualifying gift card purchases. Given that we need to pay for large portions of our trip, I really did not want to have to buy the cards up in $50 increments. I asked the customer service desk about the reloadables and they told me that they would not qualify. Long story, a little shorter, I called Kroger HQ and they told me that there should be no problem with the Disney reloadables. I went back last night and picked one up for $800 and my receipt showed 3200 fuel points earned! For those who do not know, this equates to $3.20 off per gallon of gas up to 35 gallons. $112 saved!

The moral of the story is that there is no need to purchase all of those individual cards!

I thought though that you could only get UP TO $ 1.00 off per gallon / 35 gallons. Has this changed ?

In the past I've done the reloadable Disney card as well, and I've always gotten the 4x points or 2x points. ( whichever was running) However, our Kroger no longer carries the reloadable ones... which stinks. I'm not crazy about buying the $25 ones. (that's all ours has now)

is correct but I am still eligible for the $3.20, just $1 per gallon at a time. Basically I will get $1 off per gallon three times, and $0.20 the next. That stinks about your Kroger. I kept reading about people using the multiple cards and I guess that it what initially made me think that the reloadables were not qualifying.
