FYI-dining plan adds tax on package

Not sure if you were aware. I just made my disney reservation through AAA. I added the dining as it seemed to be a good deal after looking at the number of TS we would be doing.
I requested a break down of each item from the TA. She of course said each adult is 34.99 + 6.49% tax and each child is 9.99 + 6.49 tax. I assumed the tax and gratuity had been added into the 34.99 and 9.99 price. Anyway, for those of you really counting your pennies to see if the dining is worth it......don't forget to add the tax to the cost.

When I booked I also got a break down of the cost and ours came out at $35 and $10 even. We are paying $540 for 2 adults 2 kids for 6 nights.

Booked our pkg through Magical Journeys, and the Dining portion added up to exactly $35/day for adults, and exactly $10/day for children. No tax added. We paid $480 for two adults and one child for 6 nights.

Call AAA back they should not add sales tax. My package adds up correctly too. There is not tax on the dining.

Initially I understood that dining was being taxed at RESORT rate because it was tied in with your resort reservation. Well, I e-mailed the folks at the UG because they changed the info about dining plan tax on their website so I was TOTALLY confused. They are now reporting that the $35 and $10 costs include tax, so I don't think you should be paying tax on it.

Ours was 34.99 and 9.99 with tax INCLUDED! We booked through Disney.

I had them give me a breakdown of every cost also so I can budget where all the money is going.

I may call my TA at AAA back and ask her again, but I specifically remember her saying "34.99 plus the % tax. My paperwork should be in the mail also. Thanks for the feed back.
