With the recent addition of the Wishes fireworks show on Nov 4, there is no way we will be able to watch it and then make our PS at Narcoossee's for 8p.m. and we HAVE to see it. (I can't get 8:30 PS's and 9:00 is really too late.) So I'm thinking we are going to have to watch it from the GF grounds and then walk over to dinner.

Where would be the best place on the grounds to watch them from? Thanks for any suggestions.

You will not only be able to see the show, you will also hear the music that accompanies it. I LOVE MICKEY'S FIREWORKS! I was so thrilled when we stayed @ GF a year ago and we were able to have a great view of the show without ANY crowds. Just arrive about 15 minutes early and find a seat behind the lodge (main) building. If you can see the castle, you'll be able to see the show. I believe you can venture further away from the lodge, as long as you are walking toward MK and you keep the castle in sight. There are benches everywhere and they have speakers to pipe in the music. We sat behind Gaspirillas Grill and there are tables with umbrellas there. Enjoy the show:wave:

I have the same advice...grab a seat/table outside of Gasparilla's right on the Marina - you have a dead-on view of the Castle across the lagoon and of the F/W - it's an easy way to enjoy the fireworks in all their glory!

Thanks so much. You both just made my day.

I'm pretty unfamiliar with the grounds of GF. We just know 1900 Pare Fare and Narcoossee's.

The plan is to watch Spectro at 6:30 and then take the boat from MK to GF. I think we almost immediately run into "N" so I don't know where Gasparilla's is. Where is it located in relation to where we get off the boat?

I was interested to see what Gasparilla's offered to eat, so I just looked it up on my MENUS bookmark and it says "get your food from various stations in the food court." That was interesting. I thought the deluxes didn't have food courts. I don't remember one at the Boardwalk, YC or Poly when we stayed at those places. What's the story?

Susan ~ You will have no problem;)
When you get off the boat you will go straight ahead on the path toward the main bldg. You will pass the "quiet" pool (it will be on your left). Once you pass the pool area on your left and the lodge bldg. on your right (Sugar Loaf), you will head right on the path and straight ahead will be the chairs and tables we're talking about. To your left will be Gasparilla Grill, which is a great place to grab fruit, soft-serve ice cream, a pre-packaged salad, a burger and fries, baked goods, etc. It is part of the main bldg and on the ground floor. It is open 24-hours-a-day and I've always really liked it here.
Have fun! I love the GF!

If you're having dinner at Narcooses that night, don't bother going to GG to watch. You can watch the fireworks right outside Narcooses. A lot of people stop dinner when the fireworks start and either watch out the windows, go out on Narcooses little deck, or walk out to the boat dock. And I think Narcooses pipes in the music.

And Narcooses sits right next to the boat dock. So just take the boat from MK to GF and you'll be right where you need to be.

Narcooses dims the lights and pipes the music in during the fireworks - if you can swing a window table in front of the MK you can watch and not even interrupt your dinner.
