Could you tell me a little about the cabins, thinking of staying there in July.
We are a family of 5 & love the cabins.
A little info on them:
-sleep 6; queen bed & a set of bunks in the bedroom; pull-down murphy bed in the living area. Two TV as I stated at the top of this thread!!!
-full size kitchen with stove, fridge, diswhasher
-one bath (the only drawback I think)
-large deck with picnic table; also has grill outside each cabin
-2 pools at FW -- one main pool & one smaller pool - not themed
We have found that staying in the cabins gives us a lot more space, it is much more relaxing than being in a hotel room & it's great to have the kitchen.
We usually do breakfast in the room - bagels, toast, cereal, eggs, etc. We have also done some simple dinners - spaghetti, frozen pizza, chicken nuggets. We make our own sandwiches when we go to the pool or bring leftover pizza. Doing these few things for meals saves a lot of money & IMO justifies the additional cost of the cabin.
If you have 6 people in your family I would definitely recommend either a cabin or even renting points from a DVC owner for a 2BR unit that will sleep 8. You may be able to get a code for a cabin in July.
Another option for you would be 2 rooms at a value or moderate but you still wouldn't get the kitchen.
We love the cabins & love FW. It's a great place to stay. Very relaxing & a lot of fun.
