It's not there anymore, but about 20 yrs ago we used to pass a sign that made me laugh every time I saw it. My in-laws live in Lancaster County...what people call Amish country and there are many signs for fruits, veggies, quilts, etc. But along route 23 a couple miles before you get to Blue Ball, there was a sign for Revival Hemorhoid Salve. I'm not sure the name did much for their sales...

If memory serves, there are 2 cities/towns up that way also called Climax, PA and Intercourse, PA.

Even funnier is that you can start out in Virginville, PA, pass through Blue Ball, PA and then get to Intercourse, PA fairly quickly, but Climax, PA is several hours away! If you don't believe me, check out mapquest.

Another good one is a sign just north of the Illinois/Wisconsin border on I-94 from a state park called the "Bong Recreation Area"!

I have been to Bong, it is actually named after some war hero or something.

Here in Orlando - if you are traveling north on I-4, there is a billboard right next to the OBT exit that has a stylized drawing of a woman and says, "Walk around. Sell yourself."






For those of you not to familiar with Orlando, OBT(Orange Blossom Trail) is kind of known for a certain "oldest profession".

Every time we drive to Austin, I giggle when we pass a sign for a place called "Bug Tussle".

I have a friend who lives in Round Rock and near her house is a road called Hairy Man.

OMG!!! I have family in Bug Tussle!!!! They live on Bug tussle road!!!

I live in rural Illinois. There is a sign in a town near us in the middle of nowhere that says "Protect Our Children" and has a big moose head on it. DH and I always laugh because it looks like it is a sign saying to protect our children from moose....in rural Illinois.
