I knew it well, back in the 80’s.

Let me guess... Plattsburgh AFB? I was born in Physicians Hospital. My parents moved when I was 15 (1963) to Vermont where I stayed until I was 63 retired and moved down here to NC.

We lived right next to the south gate of the Airbase on Lake Shore Road, basically across the road from Nitzi's. I went up that way last year and noticed that the big old white house were we lived on the right of the entrance to the base has been leveled and is now just an empty field. Lot's of memories gone. All my Aunts and Uncles Grand Parents and cousins, lived in the City of P'burgh or in Chazy.
