Sometimes, to throw them off, I say, "Well, no. You're out of the milk I like" (or some other product). I mean, they asked. But you should see the look on their face when it's possible they might now have to resolve my dilemma instead of just go on with their life. Of course, there's also the look in the faces of the people behind you as they realize the cashier has just called the dairy manager over to explain the shortage... while you hold up the line.

Yeah, I don't do that very often.
