(90s not 80s buuuuuut) When I was a lil, my mom found that my FAVORITE game EVER was unplugging the phone and hiding it....luckily there was also one high up on the wall that I couldn't reach but she would be out of breathe running to the kitchen to answer it and say 'lost the phone again.' Eventually my mom wisened up and just bought only wall mounted ones but now I get laughed at whenever I misplace my phone...

When my aunt got her first cordless phone in the late-80s, she had to leave the house but was expecting a call, so she took the receiver with her in her purse and left.

We laughed then, but I think she was on to something.
