I was taking my husband to the airport tonight, and there was a driver in a HUGE SUV weaving in and out of traffic and speeding, of course. Well, it so happens that she was also going to the airport, too.

We pull off curbside and she goes flying past, cutting off more cars. She slams on her brakes, and gets out to open the back tailgate for the luggage of the person she is picking up. As the hatch goes up, this large box of expensive wine falls out and shatters on the ground! She was SO mad!!

It seemed like such justice. Maybe if she hadn't been driving like a crazy person, the box wouldn't have shifted during "flight!":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

What's also funny is how you saw her on your way to the airport, as she was driving in a mad rush. Then you saw her pull into the airport. So I guess her erratic driving didn't really help her get there any faster, huh? ;)

:D I would have been laughing with you. I guess when they say you reap what you sow, is true. At least I thinnk that is how the saying goes.

wow! were there any officers nearby? A large suv racing up to the airport terminal surely should got their attn. Maybe pull her over to the side and give her a nice slowwww talking to.

You know, that's a good point! I don't know how we got ahead of her! But, I guess that is what makes it even funnier!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Did she whine over the wine?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes, and I was tempted to offer her some cheese. I didn't think she'd appreciate the humor, though! I didn't think that today was a good day to be pinned under a crazed woman's SUV!

Isn't it wonderful to be in the right place at the right time? Glad you got to see the SUV driver get her just desserts!

I just had a funny/bizarre driving experience coming home from work the other day. I was stopped at a traffic light and an older gentleman walked up from behind and knocked on my window. The conversation went like this:

Him: You have to pull over.
Me: (puzzled look)
Him: You have to pull over, you clipped me.
Me: What??
Him: You clipped me when you pulled over for the ambulance, didn't you feel it?
Me: No I didn't.
Him: You'd better pull over.
Me: Of course.

I immediately called my husband, and as soon as the light turned green pulled into the Auto Zone parking lot, got out of my car with cell phone in hand, and looked at the right rear of my car. The wasn't a scratch, not even the dust disturbed. The guy is quite upset, going on about how I should have been more careful. Huh??? His wife pulls in with their vehicle, a huge pickup. I walk to the front and there is absolutely not a mark anywhere. The guy then states I am very lucky there was no damage and jumps into his pickup and leaves.

Now if he said you cut me off....that might have happened. I had pulled from the inside lane for an ambulance a mile or so before, I didn't think I had cut anyone off, and didn't hear any horn honking or such, but the guy twice said you clipped me, and once said didn't you feel it.

Boy, it sure shook me up. Everyone, be careful out there!

Pat that is sort of scary...I'm glad you were in a public place and speaking with your husband before you pulled over.

EXACTLY! OMG! It could have been a ploy to rob you! I'm glad you are ok!!

Be very careful, there are 1000's of insurance fraud tandems working out there. Don't ever get to close, many of these people will slam on the brakes, just to make you hit them and then get out and claim injury. Another tatic is to pull out in front of you close enough that you cannot keep from hitting them but in enough time that you hit them from behind . In many states if you hit someone from behind ,no matter the situation, you are at fault. What if the accuser's SUV had a bent fender or bumper ? It could have happened previously and then they would try to accuse you of the damage. Many insurance companies just roll over and pay the claim to keep from having to investigate and pay lawyers etc. After all, they can just go up on your rates and get the claim "paid" through higher rates.

When I see people in that "frantic" mode, I'm just grateful that I don't have to live my life like that. ::yes::
