Just a light hearted thread. What are some of the funniest Christmas gift requests you've heard?

When my mom was little all she wanted was a can of tomato soup! Apparently it was her favorite and her bothers would eat most of it. So she wanted a can all to herself! Poor kid. :upsidedow

When I was little I wanted a "rub a dub doggy, soft pretty doggy, you can take a bath with him." I'd seen the commercial so often I'd memorized it. My mother didn't know what the toy was actually called, so she had to recite the commercial to the sales associate, who looked at her like she had lost it! :rotfl:

Tampons! Yes, my little sister who is now 14 wants tampons in her stocking. There isn't any specific reason as to why.....

When she told us, we kind of went, "ok?"

She will be getting them!

My dd16 would ask for stuff when she was little and my bil (as a joke) would tell her that she wasn't getting anything. She figured him out pretty quick and would request a wrapped box of air for Christmas. She still tells him that.

My 12 year old DS keeps telling me that he wants a block of cheese. A nice block of co-jack cheese will make his life complete.

When my oldest DS was 3, all he wanted for Christmas was underwear. I took him to see Santa, and he told him he wanted underwear. Santa asked him if he wanted any toys, and he said, "No, underwear".

DD11 wanted cheese balls (like puffy cheetos) last year. Santa brought her a HUGE jug of 'snowball' cheese balls. Her face lit up when she opened them, and she stopped opening other gifts in order to eat them. She's asking for them again this year.

When she was two and 1/2 my daughter wanted "square gum". She saw a small plastic container of chiclet shaped bubble gum (which I'd never let her have) at the grocery store, and it was all she could talk about. We have her on video Christmas morning coming out to find a shiny tricycle under the tree, turning around and asking "Where's my square gum?". (it was in her stocking)

I'm sure I've asked for my fair share of crazy stuff over the years. AS for gifts I've gotten a case of motor oil for my car, A whole cheese cake, a can of planters cheese balls.

There was an AFV winner where the little girl upon seeing her new bike bursts into tears saying, "but I wanted lipstick!". My now 24 year old nephew always requested a jar of pickles, he loved them!

DS is 15 and asked for post it notes. No clue why. He says to write things on. He will be getting them in his stocking. Along with some nice new pens to go with it to write with.

I have my SIL name she wants wooden pant hangers. :lmao:

Denise in MI

We asked my dad one year what he wanted and he said "Just be nice to me".
I asked him if we could just get him a present instead.

dd (3 at the time) wanted a purple nightgown with cows on it . she must have seen one in the store at one time, because i finally found it at Carter's

Ds got these last year too! we saw them today at World Market and he said "this must be where santa got them last year!"

Last year DS10 wanted a bottle of ketchup.

When he was five, he asked for a hamster. Specifically, the kind with four legs.

My dad a few years ago told my uncle (his brother in law) to get him superman underwear.. So Christmas day my dad opens his gift and he got a set of 4 superman underwear that were actually his size!

Every year since then my dad asks for strange underwear from my uncle and my uncle always seems to be able to find them. So my dad has superman, caption america, pink playboy bunny's and batman underwear.. This year he said he was going to ask for lacy man thongs. LOL.

I'm cracking up at the pic of the people wearing the footies while tailgating. :lmao:

I SOOOOOOOOOOOO used my built up Amazon reward points to get DH some footie PJs(not the "Forever Lazy" kind....they have dinos on them and a back flap.......

My mom goes to auctions a lot....One year a head shop went out of business and I swear she gave me the whole lot...I had THOUSANDS of incense sticks and some cute clothes...but the all smelled "funny":lmao:...I was into that style then so it was ok with me.
