When I was a kid I always asked for a maid to clean my bedroom.

Every year in daycare we asked the kids what they wanted and we had one, sweet sft spoken girl that said all she wanted was one flower. She was about 2 1/2 and every single time you asked ehr that was all she would say. So of course her mom got her a flower (among other things )

That is so sweet. One flower. How cute.

I asked my teen son to make a list of things he wanted for Christmas this year. Among video games and other items, he listed a large bag of strawberry Pez.

My mom gets toilet paper every year from one of my aunts. It is really funny because one year she was asked what she wanted and apparently she answered something like toilet paper would be fine. LOL!

So, every year, somehow, some way my mom gets toilet paper. I think her practically rubbed off on me because I could so see that being an awesome gift. We have 4 bathrooms & 6 people in this house...toilet paper would be an awesome gift as far as I'm concerned.

Of course, I have been known to ask for Boo Berry cereal. It is my all time favorite cereal and it is practically impossible to buy around here (except Halloween time) but other places seem to carry it all the time. I'm always thrilled with that gift.

This year I would love to have another pizza pan. One of ours, seems to have grown legs & we haven't been able to find it. It's really annoying to need to make 3 pizzas with only 1 pizza pan. Takes forever.

I'm one that does tend to ask for simple gifts which took me forever to convince DH, that yes, appliances are a wonderful gift for me (if I've asked for them).

There was an AFV winner where the little girl upon seeing her new bike bursts into tears saying, "but I wanted lipstick!". My now 24 year old nephew always requested a jar of pickles, he loved them!

I desperately wanted (and received) dill pickles from Santa when I was 2.5 yrs old.

Tampons! Yes, my little sister who is now 14 wants tampons in her stocking. There isn't any specific reason as to why.....

When she told us, we kind of went, "ok?"

She will be getting them!

My dd12 has asked for the same 5 things for at least 5 years.

Cool whip, a puppy, brother or sister, laptop or a cell phone. she only be receiving one of those things on her list. The biggest container of cool whip I can find.

all four of my kids ask for food items. Pickles, cheese, pepsi and dark chocolate. The kids are now 15 - 20 yrs old. They've been asking for these ever since they started making lists.
This year MIL asks for a " fountain pen ". She will not be getting it. Maybe a pack of papermate or bic but not a fountain pen. She only writes to her other son when i talk her into it. She doesn't need it or have any use for one. We just thought i was funny. ( she lives with us so i know how often she writes because i have to translate it!)
