my mom had a few yesterday at MGM.

Are you guys going on aerospace?

After Beauty and the Beast, we went on House of Horror.

What part of the street are you guys waiting on to see Fantastic?

Good thing we only meet up with them in WDW once a year. I'm sure I will have some more to add after Epcot today.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

DH and I heard some doozies on our trip. Here's one of our favorites, overheard while riding the MK Railroad around the park.

We're stopped at the Main Street station on a hold, waiting for the parade to pass. Three southern ladies and their little boys had been sitting in front of us since we'd all boarded in Frontierland.

Lady 1: Do you think the boys will be done riding Splash Mountain by the time we get back?

Lady 2 (pointing out locations on MK map): Sure they will. We'll be on this for 30 more minutes before we get back to Splash Mountain. We''re here (pointing to Main Street) and we've got to go back through Tomorrowyears, Toontown and Fantasyworld before we get to the water rides.

Lady 3 (pointing at the passing monorail): Look at that, son. Is this where we came in? I don't see the water rides.

:lmao:

The train pulls out a few minutes later, and we're quickly deposited in Frontierland.

Lady 2: Did we miss Fantasyworld? How did we miss the rides in Fantasyworld?

hahahahahaha...woooooooooooooow :headache:

Yes, Narnian Princess, Casting Crowns is the Best Band in the Universe!!!!

Oh yeah, I love this thread. Keep 'em comin'.

My dh and dd were in line to meet the Fairy Godmother. A man walks up with his family and says loudly, "Look, it's Mother Goose." My hubby says the FG looked at him kinda funny and the man realized he must've said something wrong, so he asked her who she was. She told him she was the Fairy Godmother and suggested that he watch some movies in his spare time!

This summer I overheard a guy complain about the heat. He was ticked off that Disney did not "filter" the sun at the parks. He told his wife they should have built a "screen" over the MK.

Welcome to Orlando in August..

WHAT!! :lmao: I guess he thinks the Magic Kingdom should have been built the "Magic Dome"! Wow

Not really a comment, but we always make "funny photos" on the rides ("sleeping" on Test Track, "reading" the park map on Expedition Everest, etc.) and today at AK we got off of Dinosaur and saw that someone else had done the same thing! He was "sleeping" on the ride. As we walked out the door a young couple was walking by just cracking up. The guy was going on about how on earth could anybody fall asleep on a ride like that, wonder if he got knocked out, that was so funny, stuff like that. Then he said he should go back and buy that picture just to show his friends that someone fell asleep on the ride. Makes me wonder what people have thought of our staged ride photos! :rotfl:

My friends went to Disneyland a few years ago and took a bunch of props to do multiple staged Splash Mountain photos. They had tea cups and saucers that they would drink from, a book they would put up like they were reading, and my favorite - they cut a ping pong ball in half and drew big black circles on them so they looked like big eyeballs and put them over their eyes :rotfl:

Oh, now THAT is funny!!!! :lmao: I'll have to remember that one.

There was a girl who was in the hot seat for Who Wants To Be a Millionaire at MGM and they asked her what her favorite ride at Disney was and she said 'Men in Black' (which is at Universal!!).:rotfl:
I was there that day! I remember that...the guy just looked at her...it was hillarious!

I don't remember where we were when this happened but it was our 3rd trip to WDW. There was this kid crying...so his mother says "If you don't stop crying this is not going to be the happiest place on earth." The kid wasn't very young either.

We still crack up when we talk about this. :rotfl2:

We were in EPCOT last week and passed one of the F&W Festival areas. One of the decorative displays featured a burro (fake, of course) pulling a cart. This mom yells to her two boys "Hurry up! It's the donkey from Shrek!" :rotfl2:

STOP IT! That is hilarious!:lmao:

I'm sure during our trip someone had to have heard my DD11 comments at MGM during Star Wars weekends. We are not a Star Wars family by no means and this was our first trip to WDW. I have seen the original SW movies but not any of the new ones.

So, first Fri. in June, we're at the gate waiting to get in MGM but not for SW. We had missed all the previous showings of BATB and I was determined to see it before we left the next morning. So we look up and the Storm Troopers are all atop the gate entrance and everyone is dressed in their finest SW attire. My DD11, looking around quizzically and not getting the whole SW idea, says, "So mom, Who are those guys up there?" Referring to the Storm Troopers. Several people just turned and looked at us like we were the ones from another planet.:rotfl:

As we walk through the park, we see many different characters and she keeps asking if I know who they are and I basically said, Not really. But then, we see Darth Vader walking somewhere and she says, Very loudly. "Mom, is he a good guy or a bad guy?" I really thought some nearby people were going to bust a gut. The look was how could we be in MGM on SW weekend and NOT know who DV is? :confused3

I thought it was funny.

It wasn't me giving you those looks! It could have been me if I'd heard, though.

Some of us nerds don't get the people who aren't nerdy. :flower3:

Other than that, did you all have a Magical time at the World? :)

This is a great thread. Just found it today. Mine is from what my DH said. Back in 2003 we saw Prince John. He was alone. Didn't even have a CM with him. We went over to get his autograph with our two kids and my DH said, "Hey, kids there is King George. Wanna get a picture with him?"
Prince John stomped his foot and wrote down who he was.
My DH replied, "Aww. Prince , King. What's the difference? You are just one assasination away from being King."
Prince John started laughing so hard. He could not control himself even though they are not allowed to make a sound.

We were leaving the MK one night and were boarding the boats to Fort Wilderness outside MK's entrance. As we're walking down the center to the FW boat, a harried man comes bustling out dragging his wife. She looks up at me and says, "Excuse me, but does this line take you to FW?" I replied that yes it did, but the little boat they were about to get in line to, did not and that they had been in the correct line the first time. He stated that they all went to the same place and the other line was much shorter. (I didn't have time to point out the size difference between the two boats.)

We continue walking and I hear her say something to her husband, who loudly proclaimed, "Who are you going to believe, me or THAT guy?!?" We all got a giggle and I was called THAT guy the rest of the trip.

As our boat pulled away I made sure to sit in the open section at the back so that the couple saw us as we pulled away while they waited in line for a boat to the Contemporary.

I'm not sure if it's the funniest, but maybe the stupidest, and it came out of MY mouth!! Actually, my family thinks it's pretty funny and can't stop teasing me about it. Every trip since, no matter who is with me, they've heard the story and have to see where it happened!
In June, 2002, I was at WDW with just my then-17 year old DS. We had never seen AKL, so decided to go there on our arrival night, to check out the hotel, eat dinner at Mara, and go see some animals. As we were standing outside TRYING to see animals (it was already dark, plus I'm near-sighted and had forgotten my glasses!), I decided to look around at the balconies. I then made the STUPID comment, "Hey, look! Isn't that weird? There are people on every balcony and they are ALL skinny and have little heads!" To which my DS replied, "Mom....those are poles...".

I just happened upon this thread today and started reading it. This is hysterical! :lmao:
