Ok I got one for you. My dear freind and I were on The Disney Magic in January 2007. While waiitng in line one night to see The Golden Mickeys, out front of the theater was one of the show's singers all dressed in a gold evening gown and holding a microphone "interviewing" guests as they went into the theater. We could tell she was American from the way she spoke.

She asked one couple "is this your first cruise?" and they replied "yes". Then she asked where they were from and the wife said "Vermont". "Oh" says the entertainer "and where is that?" The amazed woman replied "In the United States!". The entertainer just thanked them for coming and moved on to someone else.

My friend and I were so amazed and amused at this that everytime we saw the singer later in the cruise, we referred to her as "Miss Vermont".

This one is about my dad. He for some reason calls the Magic Kingdom, Disney. Now this is 42 year old man I'm talking about not some 4 year kid. I still don't know when he will stop call the MK, Disney. But for now it givesus and other people a good laugh!!:lmao:

In defense of your 42 year old dad (I'm 41!), when we first went to "Disney" as kids the Magic Kingdom was all there was (no E.P.C.O.T., no MGM, no AK, no waterparks [OK, River Country], no mini-golf, only the Contemporary and the Poly) so Disney = Magic Kingdom and Magic Kingdom = Disney.

I'm a huge Disney fan, but I still have to catch myself and remember that now the "Magic Kingdom" does not equal "Disney".

Heck, my son (then 5) called EPCOT "Apricot" the whole time we were there! I guess we're just challenged when it comes to the names of places!

I guess it is an age thing. I am over 40 and I must agree. I have to work hard not to call MK just Disney. :rolleyes1

I'm telling you all this now cause this will be me in January LOL! I know the names of places, I know all the mistakes and what NOT to do or say but for SOME reason I keep calling the Yak and Yeti the Ying and Yang. I don't know why! I know the correct name but have this stupid name stuck in my head. When making reservations the other day I even asked if they were taking reservations for the Ying and Yang yet (they weren't by the way).

I just hope they don't serve guacamole there -- cause my best friend calls that "wack-a-mole" all the time.

Yes, we are both adults, and otherwise sane (at least we think so) people!!

We went for our first time just last week and I never thought I'd have something to post here. We were having dinner at the Grand Floridian and Cinderella and Prince Charming were walking around table to table as they do. We're eating and this family walks by as they are being taken to their table and the woman says, "Oh look honey, it's Tinkerbell!" :confused3

My DS10 and my DD9 start giggling and then we all started laughing. We laughed about it for a while after. I told them that I should've stood up and said, "Tinkerbell? Where?" :lmao:

I got one too... I was at WDW the same time Dizzykitten was...

Anyway, I am not much of a drinker..ok... well we were at Epcot and I just HAD to have a margarita(all 3 flavors no less)from the stand out side of the Mexico pavilion. Well, I had just put our camcorder, in its shoulder bag on my shoulder(after slurping down bout half the drink) and DH asks me to hand him the camcorder. Well, i look everywhere on his ECV for it... the back, the basket in front.. and I ask him... where IS it? We didn't lose it again did we? He laughed his butt off at me and said, its hanging on your shoulder you drunk weenie! Of course I was replying I am NOT drunk.. :lmao: I know I turned red and we both laughed ourselves silly. Maybe you had to be there, but as I look back on it, it was quite funny!

While riding the bus back from MGM one night, I got to talk to a beautiful 4 year old girl. She was so excited...she had just ridden TOT and told me that it "just about scared the pants right off of her"...Then she told me that her room was all Tinkerbell...even her backpack was. I told her that the Fairy God Mother had sprinkled Pixie Dust on me at Downtown Disney the day before, and she told me that she had some "Tinker dust" in her room. She was so adorable telling me all about what she had done with her "Tinker dust"...put it in her hair, on her doll, her brother...lol. My dd gave her the tinkerbell light up thingy she got on her drink that night at 50's prime time...the one you clip to your shirt, and she lights up green. She was so amazed...she looked at me and said, "It's a night light!" Then I gave her a Tinkerbell pin. I would have given that girl anything Tinkerbell I had just to hear her say Tinker dust...lol princess:

This one may have been told before, but everytime I think of it, it makes me
smile...

Several years ago I had called in to make a dining reservation and the CM I spoke with shared this with me. Apperently that day was a different CM's birthday and all the operators were throwing her a short little party. The CM I
was speaking to told me that the women she was making a reservation for commented about the noise, asking what all the noise was, it sounded like everyone was having alot of fun. She explained the b-day party and said that Chip and Dale had made a suprise visit to the birthday girl, as they are
her favorite. At that point the phone was silent and the CM asked if the she
was still on the line. The miffed sounding lady stated that "If Disney is the kind of company that allows the Chip-n-Dales into there work areas, perhaps this was not where her family should vacation, and hung up the line!:lmao: :rotfl2:

I think that's a riot!:thumbsup2

On our trip in September we were on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride on a half empty boat. Right in front of us was a young family - mom, dad & young girl. The mother was telling them all kinds of facts about the ride - then she proceeds to tell them how exciting it was to go on this brand new ride! It was just opened after the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie did so well in theaters! :earseek: We thought it was hysterical that she was convincing her family what a great "new" ride they were on! :D

this story reminded me of my recent trip, we were on the "new" ride, and the kid behind me was convinced that it was really johnny so every time Sparrow popped up the kid would start talking to him and then get really mad when he didn't answer, mind you this kid looked bout 10, so he should have known better lol

We were standing in line at Epcot, Soaring and we were just about to have our turn. The boy in front of us, about 7, tells his Mom that he has to go to the restroom. They say a few words back and forth and it is evident that this Mom does not want to waste the time spent in line and in a huff says to him, "just tie a knot in it because we are not going to the restroom!".

NOW..I got another one for ya... may be another of those you-had-to-be-there ones, but anyhoo...

My DH loves to watch Family Guy. Well, there is an episode where they spoof the MK and IASW. So while we were there I took DH on ISAW(it was our first time at MK). It was not until we were in the boat and started into the ride that it dawned on him what it was.. HONEY..he says.. This is THE ride.. the one in FAMILY GUY.. (in the episode they really did take lost children and put them in the ride)...where Stewie wound up in singing "its a Tiny, Tiny World..(they changed the lyrics to avoid getting sued I suppose.. :confused3 ) and he is just laughing himself silly through the whole thing and singing "Its a Tiny, Tiny, World... and then when it got to the Hawaiian scene he points to the doll wearing the native ceremonial mask and goes.. THERE is Stewie! He has a mask on.." I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself. My DH is such a funny guy.. but beleive it or not he loved IASW more than ANY thing else he rode!

There was a girl who was in the hot seat for Who Wants To Be a Millionaire at MGM and they asked her what her favorite ride at Disney was and she said 'Men in Black' (which is at Universal!!).:rotfl:

We always go to Kmart before we go to our hotel in Disney and on my youngest daughter's first trip to Disney she ran in the doors at Kmart yelling "Ariel - where's Ariel!! She thought the Kmart was Disney World.

Oh I thought of one more - my daughter got picked to go up on stage with the magician during the Diamond Horseshoe Review (way back when !!) and she had a Winnie the Pooh tshirt on. The magician told her to rub her stomach cause she had a little 'Pooh' on her shirt!!

Awww....How sweet! Thanks for spreading some of the magic with that little girl!

I think I'm glad they decided not to go to WDW!!!! She sounds like the type that is better off at home, so the rest of us can enjoy the magic!

This thread is hilarious! I love stories like this. Keep them coming. :thumbsup2

I've got a couple that are kind of funny to me, but they might be "you had to be there" funny. I don't know.

1) While we were checking in at Pop, my sister was behind me and really wasn't paying attention to what was going on because she was checking out all the stuff in the lobby. When the CM told me what section we were in, (the 80's) she whips around and goes, "What?! The 80's? YES!" (complete with the "score" movement) I kind of blink and the CM starts laughing. My sister is a big 80's fan.

2) On our first day this past January, my sister and I decided to go to EPCOT while we waited for my friend's already very delayed flight to arrive. We had heard from the nice CM at Pop's gift shop that Soarin' frequently ran out of Fastpasses pretty early. So we planned to head straight for the land to ride it before it got too bad. We get over there, see that the line is only 20 minutes long so we get in line. It ended up being shorter than that but whatever. I was so excited that about halfway through I just started singing that Breaking Free song from HSM (you know the part that goes "Soarin'! Flyin'!") at the top of my lungs. People were staring. I had that song in my head the rest of the day and everytime someone would mention Soarin', I'd burst into song.

3) While we were trying to check out the dolphins at Living Seas, they just weren't coming to where we could see them. After about five minutes of trying to see them, my sister goes "Why are we standing here? We can see dolphins anytime." And proceeds to walk off towards the manatees. She's right though. We both work at SeaWorld. :lmao:
