Funniest comments you've overheard in WDW

I have two:

"oh, free dining was offered in your area too?"

and

"we aren't going to the Pirate and Princess party, we are just going to the MK to ride a few rides."

My DH and I were getting on the concierge elevator at GF to go to our room and another couple entered the elevator right behind us. It was obvious that the woman was not in a good mood. After the doors closed, the woman said to her husband "These people here are so rude. Obviously they have no idea how much money we have." It took all of my willpower not to burst into laughter.

No way! Too funny! :lmao:

When we stayed at Pop a couple of years ago, we would also comment on how unappetizing the tie dyed cheesecake looked. (I know, some people love it!) There was a large photo of the desserts in the elevator, including the cheesecake. We got in a full elevator one evening, and my daughter's BF looked at the picture, and went on and on describing how "disgusting and gross the cheesecake looked" and "why would anyone order that?" We didn't say a word in reply-the lady next to us (obviously not noticed by DBF) was taking a slice of the cheesecake to her room for a snack. As she got off, she smiled at us and told us she had the cheesecake before, and it was delicious! We died laughing! My daughter's BF was so embarrassed.

My 11 yo was reading over my shoulder on the DIS, and wondered what TOT meant.
I told him Tower of Terror.

He decided that the ride's new name ought to be:

Totally Awesome Terrifying Elevator Ride - Tower of Terror

That way it's acronym would be TATER TOT. :lmao:

Ok, it's not really that funny, but for 11 yos, it's the height of humor. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: MY SIDES!!! That is too, too funny! :rotfl:

This is one that I said last trip.

So we are at WDW this past summer and dd now 16 said "We have to go to Toowntown Fair." and I say " No it isn't like the one in Disney that you are thinking of." I thought she would die laughing at me. I was meaning the one in MK isn't like the one in DL but just shortened the sentence a little to much.

Okay, I find that hilarious! I don't know what is sadder- That I, at 36 yoa, find it so funny, or that I could have never thought of it on my own...

A couple funny things were said with great Bristish accents, which makes them funnier, so imagine this with an accent:

Young boy to his brother, "you're a poopy, stinky, meany, poopy, yucky, stinky face."

I can't remember the other one right now, but I'll post it later. I took notes! :teeth:

There was an adorable little british girl at Goofy's when my mum and I were looking at some last minute souvenirs. They sell the big Mickey shaped lollipops there and this girl wanted one. Of course, her dad said no, so she replied "But daddy! It's not an ordinary lolly!!". It was soooooo ridiculously cute! lol!

I've been lurking on this thread for a while and I love all of these funny comments. I've intended on posting several times about something I witnessed at WDW, but just not got around to doing so. Until now:

Many, many years ago while on a trip to WDW my mom and I witnessed an argument between a woman and man. There were two small children with them. They were aruging about whether or not to go to Epcot. She was adamant that Epcot "was not for children!!!"

At the age of 14, I was blown away that anyone could think such a thing. My mom and I used to recall that incident and laugh about it. Now that I'm planning my first trip with small children, I'm now wondering if Epcot is for children. :rotfl2:

I know my children will love The Seas with Nemo, and Journey into your Imagination. But, they can't ride Test Track, Soarin' or Mission Space. And I know that MK will have more rides they can ride so I'm sure we'll be spending more time there on our trip. They will appreciate Epcot more as they get older. We're going to Epcot this time regardless, but wow, I owe that woman from back in the day an apology.
If that was any of you - I'M SORRY!!! :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :confused3 :confused3 :dance3:
My husband and daughter were shopping in the gift shop at the Grand Floridian killing some time while we were waiting for the magical express to take us back to the airport. Suddenly all the photo albums fell off the rack and made this big crashing sound. My husband not missing a beat goes,
". . . GOOD JOB. . . ' all of a sudden our daughter who is an aisle over goes, "Dad I'm over here". My husband looks down and sees another girl about our daughter's age in heighth where our daughter just was, and now feels sorry that he said that to someone elses' kid. He expected it to be our daughter, since she commonly does stuff like that. We laugh about it now. He did apologize to the girl.

LOL!
Sunday while on the bus headed to the MK there was a family in the back. We were getting close and I hear the mother say "Didnt there used to be a little parking lot or something here?" I assume she was talking about TTC, so I did chuckle a bit at the "little" comment, but she may have been talking about something else.

Actually in my memory, alas spotty though it is, I do remember a small parking lot outside the kennel. My grandparents used to park there when on our initial entrance we were purchasing tickets. That was when the ticket windows were open like ALL NIGHT instead of the automated kiosks!

One DD a pleasantly plump blonde & the other dressed similar, shorter, with light brown hair? Was there a heavy grandma on a scooter & me pushing a large DS in a stroller?
Well, if it was, they were starving. They refused to eat anything in the park & only wanted chicken & fries. I think they hit every puddle on the way out. My appoligies to those that were splashed.
We were in line for the Winnie the Pooh ride. I heard a father say that just "beyond the racetrack there is a train that takes you to MGM, but he couldn't find it."
The stupidest thing I witnessed in Disney was a man exit his log in Splash Mountain, during a bit of a jam, to ask us in the log behind him where the nearest bathroom was. He then jumped in our log & his 5 year old DD, crossing her legs, went down the hill alone.

My favorite, while waiting for the MK parade: "Sit down, shut up, and don't breathe." That became the family motto for years and we still say it now to get a laugh...The kids would NOT behave and the mother was frustrated and it just came out-wrong.

Another favorite-Walking out of MGM one night, it had rained and there were puddles everywhere. There were these two adorable little girls jumping in all the puzzles and singing that commercial jingle "I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!" Hilarious.

My favorite was riding on the monorail once and listening to a woman describe the CR as the place where 'the train goes right thru the motel' :rotfl:

There were a couple we heard this past trip....

One woman and whoever she was with was doing a VMK quest. We had just completed the quest so when she was reading the question out loud, I knew what she was talking about. The question asked which one of the four was not a dog and it listed four characters. One of the characters was Bruno from Cinderella. After she read through the choices, her response was "well this is so easy, there wasn't a dog in Cinderella." Ok, so perhaps not hilarious, but we thought she might want to rewatch the movie to see who helps out in getting her out of her room to try on the slipper.... :)

Then on the bus back to our resort after a night at MK came a discussion with a little boy (probably around 3) and his dad sitting right behind us and we got a kick out of it. The whole conversation was just great, but this snippet was our favorite:
Boy: Do you know what the Yeti is?
Dad: What is the Yeti?
Boy: The Yeti is a kind of thing.
Dad: Do you think the Yeti might be a creature who lives up in cold mountains?
Boy: No. The Yeti is Pablo.
Dad: Pablo? Who is Pablo?
Boy: The Yeti!
Dad: Ok.

This was YEARS ago....Like 15 or so. They were wearing ponchos. They were so cute and it was just so funny how they were singing the jingle.

I'm sure your girls were cute doing it, too!

3) When we were on Dinosaur at AK, and the big T-rex had the smaller dinosaur in his mouth, my daughter turned to me with terror in her eyes and asked hopefully, "That's just how the Mommy dinosaur carries her baby, right?" We didn't have the heart to tell her the truth!

:rotfl:

What a sweetheart. Reading that just made my night. :goodvibes

Last week my two 20 something daughters and I were on our way to fill our mugs while at the Poly. A mom with her young son were on the path right behind us. The mom probably didn't think this was so funny, but it was all we could do to not burst out laughing.

Little boy: Mom, do skunks poop?
Mom: Sure, they do.
Little boy: Does it stink?
Mom: (slight pause) Umm, I'm pretty sure it does.
Little boy: (realizing we're giggling a little) I'm a SUPER POOPER!

The mom looked over at us and says: I grew up playing with Barbies. I was not prepared for questions like this!

My family just got back from WDW and I thought of this thread that I'd been reading on and off since joining dis.

It was my DD's (2 1/2) first time to WDW and she loved it. Every ride we went on she was in awe. The second night there we asked her what her favorite ride was so far and she replied "the escalator" very proudly. Well, needless to say this was not the answer that DH and I expected since we were just on IASW. We finally figured out it was the Transit Authority Ride in Tommorowland in MK where you have to go up and down a "people mover" to get on and off the ride. Luckily, her answer finally changed to the Hanuted Mansion on the last day ;) .

I'm sure my DD contributed to more funny stuff on this trip, but that's all I can remember right now.
