Other parks do charge extra for a FastPass-like service. I know Six Flags parks do, and I think Universal as well. They were probably familiar with a park like that and so assumed that you have to pay for FastPass too.

Universal has a VIP service. You can pay extra ontop of your ticket (like $15 USD??) or if you stay at one of the 3 resorts you get it free. You go ahead of the lines whenever you want, priority seating at shows and restaurants. It's really worth it to go ahead of the 3 hour line of Spiderman and ride it 9 times in 30 minutes. :thumbsup2

Hey boys, come have your picture made with DR. HOOK. (Sadly, my DH said this.... )

I've spent the last three weeks reading the "Have you ever had a shock" thread and now I find this long thing!! Here go the next two weeks of my life. :rotfl:

A couple of years ago DH and I had dropped DD off at Simba's Cubhouse at AKL (she was 4) so we could ride some "big rides" together. It was our first time in that resort and when we smelled Boma as we took her in, we decided we had to come back to eat dinner there later. When we got back to Boma later that evening, the first stop for both of us was the bathroom. DH came out and was cracking up. He said "Did you see that man and his son that went in?" I had, the boy was about 5, maybe. DH said they were headed over to the urinals and the boy said, "We're gonna p*** like racehorses, aren't we, dad?"
:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DH still talks about that nearly 3 years later.

:rotfl:  Ok, this one isn't really that funny unless you were there, but we just got back July 13th and during our trip we were at MGM in the writer's shop and I overheard a women talking to the CM about her luch. She said "I had a the usual good time at Mama Mia's". I laughed under my breath at this comment as she had meant Mama Melrose. My thoughts were this, if she had the "Usual good time" maybe she should have known name considering she had evidently been there before.

I STILL call Mama Melrose's "Mama Mia's." I'm sure it's a common mistake! Every time I say it I stop and think, "No, something's wrong here...." :rotfl: And I'm a southern girl; it's not as though "Mama Mia!" is an everyday expression for me. :rotfl2:

"Do you know what EPCOT stands for? Every Person Comes Out Tired."

From the tram anouncer on the way to EPCOT from the parking lot in the morning.

Good grief, we have to save that for our 4th day, usually. That way, if we just CAN'T go on another day, we have been to all the parks. What is it with that place? We say we'll just go to Future World and we hardly set foot in WS, but something about that place just zaps me, no matter where we go, for how long, or what we do. :confused3

Recently heard comment, " Oh, don't worry about that mess, we are used to it, our kid pukes all the time."

You mean there is a ride in the big golf ball at Epcot!

I'm pretty sure I posted this a long time ago, but last year we were in a very short line waiting to get on Spaceship Earth. A man is racing up the que to get on and yelling for his family to hurry up because the line is so short. He then gets near the entrance and turns around so dissapointed like and yells back to his family (who is still making their way to the entrance)... "Nevermind, it isn't a real spaceship!".

A few years back, I had asked my husband to call and get us the Fantasmic meal package. He told me later that we were all set for "Fantasmagoric"! --- I thought that I was the only one that called it that!! That is soooo funny. My wife always makes fun of me, but I've never called it any thing else. Now she's starting to do it. The best part is that it annoys our kids.

Wow, I do that, too. :lmao: The first time we were planning to see it was Oct. when my DD was turning 4. We were also planning to do MNSSHP, so I had Halloween on the brain. DH was trying to tell me about Fantasmic but didn't get the name quite right. I interpreted it as "Fantasmagoric" and couldn't figure out WHY on earth he would want to subject our precious, sweet little girl to something so HORRIFYING. :rotfl2:

My grandparents took me to WDW every year when I was little, like 3-8. By the time I was 6 or 7, I always wanted to ride Space Mountain. My Grandmother would put us on the TTA and tell me it was SM. I wasn't the brightest.

When I was 15 my whole family went. My mother HATES roller coasters but for some reason thougth that since SM was in the dark and she couldn't see what was coming up she would be ok. THis was when you sat two people to a car in SM. SHe and my DDad were behind my sister and me. We had barely gotten up the first hill when she started screaming "JIMMY, JIMMY OH, JIMMY%$&*$$ OH %^$&%%$#OH JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY $%^$#. We were all laughing so much nobody really remembers the ride. My father's leg was bleeding when we got off where she had clawed him. To this day anytime Mother does something ditzy we all yell: JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY.

I'm surprised I didn't make this thread; maybe it's a good sign that I kept my voice low.

When we went to WDW the first time, DD was not quite 3 so we spent all our time in Fantasyland, except for DH riding Space Mt. a couple of times. The next time she was turning 4 and was tall enough to ride Splash and BTMRR. I did NOT want to get on Splash; I am a MAJOR ride wimp and I am terrified of heights. Now I :rotfl2: at the thought of being scared to go on Splash. My main thing is I don't like going UP. I hate when the car is going really slow up and up and up....All three of us are in one row on the log on Splash and we started going up the last big hill. I started freaking and wanted to climb out. DH was :lmao: and hanging onto my arm. I turned to him and said, in a low, throaty, Exorcist voice: "If I live to get off this *$# thing I am going to beat the @$*% out of you!" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (and I don't talk like that!)

I lived and he asked if I was going to beat the $*# out of him. I said yes, after I ride it again. :rotfl2: I can now proudly say that I have ridden EVERYTHING at WDW and I lived to tell about it AND to ride them all again.

A lady was referring to Minnie and said to her son: "Isnt that weird? Mickey's wearing a dress!" It happened years ago but I cant seem to be able to get it out of my head!!!!! :rotfl:

lol i wonder where they got that idea from. I would have loved to see there faces if someone had said that fastpass was free and they had been standing in some of them long lines for no reason.

My kids die of embarassment, but I have to clue people in when they say stuff like this. I would want people to tell me, so I tell others.

Well, my family was in Norway in a shop. I was looking at Viking hats and my dad was at the check-out counter. There was a very pretty young working there. Our family is very into the whole "pin trading" thing and my dad was looking at her lanyard. My dad was like
"I like your pins." and the girl said,
"You are looking at my breasts, no?" :rotfl:
My dad replied, "No, I was looking at your pins!" :confused3
She said, "Well it's okay if you were looking at my breasts because lots of men do."
Then she started totally flirting with him. :offtopic:
When my dad told my mom and my sisters and me we started to crack up!!! :joker:

During our last visit, DD#1 woke up one morning and didn't feel well. It just happened to be our morning for PSB (DD#2 is a HUGE Sleeping Beauty fan). After much discussion we decided to leave DD#1 in the room and then return after breakfast to check on her. As we were walking to Epcot, I was distraught with having to make a decision like that. I was telling DH that I felt terrible, that I felt like I had to choose one child's needs over another, blah, blah, blah. I finished up by telling DH that I felt horrible and I didn't know how I was going to make myself feel better when DD#2 piped up from her stroller "Advil. Just take Advil mom, it will make you feel better." :rotfl:

On our last trip to Disney we parked our silver minivan at the airport & flew down to Florida. When we got there we headed over to Hertz, where they gave us a small flaming red car. We loaded up the bags, installed our car seat & buckled in our 2 yr old. As we were driving out of the parking lot, our 2 yr old piped up from the back seat, "Dad, did you know this is not our car?" :rotfl2:

LOL! BTDT. When we flew down when my DD was not quite 3, our first visit, we got to MCO and out to the rental car area. We started to get into our rental and she had a major freak-out fit. VERY unlike her, seriously. She was screaming, "I don't LIKE this car! I want OUR car! You're not putting me in THIS CAR!" DH and I were :confused3 until we figured out that she didn't realize we were at another airport. She thought we drove to the Atlanta airport, got into a plane for an hour and ten minutes, landed back in Atlanta and we should have our car. :rotfl2: It was too funny, but when we figured it out and reasoned with her she was okay and even laughed at herself. ;)

My favorite, while waiting for the MK parade: "Sit down, shut up, and don't breathe." That became the family motto for years and we still say it now to get a laugh...The kids would NOT behave and the mother was frustrated and it just came out-wrong.

Our gift to the deaf community- every church we've ever gone to can sign
"Sit down, shut up, and don't move"; the result of having 3 boys, and singing in the choir. Comes in handy at WDW too, can sign wildly to them, and no one knows I'm yelling :rotfl:

A couple of us were sitting outside the main gates of Tower of Terror when this little kid and his mom walk up to the guy sitting next to us (the kid's dad I'm guessing), and the Dad ask the kid in Spanish, "How was the ride"? In an excited tone the kid yell's out, "My butt flew off the seat". I guess we were the only one's in the vicinity that understood Spanish because we got some odd stares when we all started cracking up. :rotfl:
