Teresa Pitman said:Later we went to Star Tours and he was too short to go on the ride, so I asked if we could do the "non-motion" version. They said yes, so we walked in and had a "vehicle" all to ourselves. They let my grandson be the captain and announce "blast off" at the beginning, and he loved it. We saw the whole movie and the "driver" moving, but didn't feel any motion. After we left (with his certificate in hand to show he was a spaceship captain), he said to me "Grandma, did we really go into space?" (I explained that it was just pretend but he said he thought we really did.)

This reminds me of the first time we went on Mission Space. My DD was 6 and 1/2 years old at the time. She was so excited about trying this new ride. Well we were next in line and she turns around and has one tear running down her check. I asked her what was wrong and she answered "Mommy I don't want to go to Mars." I think the pre-show scared her. I explained that it was only a ride but we did not have to go on and it was ok. As soon as she heard we were not really going to Mars she was fine. We went on the ride and she had a blast. She wanted ride it again as soon as she got off. Now it is one of her favorites.
