Funniest comments you've overheard in WDW

I was at Epcot the other day and decided to do "Turtle Talk with Crush" since I had never seen it. And of course, each 'show' is different, making it more fun. Amazing, by the way. Anyway, there comes a point in the show where Crush is asking the children sitting on the floor down front if they can help him identify something he found on the beach -he disappears for a moment and comes back wearing a bikini top around his neck! Well, the kids were hysterical, and just COULD NOT get over this. So, of course, when Crush asked if any of the kids had questions for him about ocean life, all the kids wanted to know about was that bikini! :lmao: It led to some pretty funny comments, but by far the funniest was that of a little boy, who asked Crush "Who does that bikini belong to?" And when Crush said he didn't know, the boy responded with "Well, I think it's your grandma's!" :rotfl2: I think the show ended right about there. :rolleyes1

Every adult in there got a chuckle, it was great!

Also- on the bus to AK- Dad to son, age 2-3 years-old
"I need you to stop behaving in such a confrontational manner"

I thought it was funny that dad would use such big words, but I really started to laugh when the kid stopped what he was doing and looked at dad with this :confused3 expression for a moment, then went back to what he was doing.

ROFL. :rotfl: :lmao: Super funny and pertinent to me.... because I think that guy was a psychologist. LOL. He had to have been!

I have two for you all.

I was working in Stitch's Great Escape one day. When the lights go out and it's fairly quiet, We all heard a little boy start yelling "He's right behind me, isn't he?!" over and over the entire time the lights were out. :scared1:

When I work inside Monster's Inc. and we are loading people into the theater, we tell people "All the way down to the end of the row Humans." A woman chuckled when I called her a human and I replied that I was a monster. She looked skeptical so I said "You don't believe me? Ask my ex-wife." Everyone around us cracked up. I still use that line whenever I can.

:lmao: good one!!

Ok since there is not any one of these threads for DL that i have seen so i will put it here.

But when we went to DL in Feb we were at DCA and of corse there is the the BIG California words.

We we were at the first A in the Cali sign and there wad another family and they were on the their cell phone. And they were screaming on the phone "I am at the big A where are u and what is taking so long". Well eventually they figured out that there is 2 A's:rotfl2: in California and then they figured out where to meet and go in the park

We just got back yesterday and one that stood out was at Epcot. We were eating Mickey Bars and people watching and took notice to his 2 kids bickering back and forth while the Dad paid no attention to them. It look like they were waiting for other family members. Well all of a sudden the boy (about 10ish) hit his sister (about 7ish) and of course she started to cry LOUDLY as dramatic as possible. He didn't hit her hard and the Dad didn't see but he DID hit her. Anyway, the Dad said he had it with him and was going to take away his arcade card when they got back to the hotel. The boy started pleading his case. His best quote:

"Dad, honestly I didn't hit her. Dad, really I didn't do it. I swear. I may hit her at home but why would I ever hit her in Disneyworld. Really, Dad why would I do that. Dad, think about it for a minute PLEASE. I didn't hit her here, only at home......."

He went on for about 5 minutes straight while the Dad ignored him and then he started to cry. Now the dad had 2 crying kids. :rotfl:

I don't know if this is really funny (it was kind of sad that they didn't do any planning or research)...but it made me laugh at the time. We were eating at Cosmic Rays and this was right at 2:50 pm. A family at the table next to us (husband, wife, daughter and the wifes mom and dad). The Wife said "we better get going if we want to get a seat on the curb at the corner of the hub and main street for the parade"...the parade was supposed to start in 10min. I just thought wow...good luck. Then she proceeded to say "After the parade we need to hop on the monorail because I need to get something from our hotel at the boardwalk...and then from there we'll take the monorail to MGM"...her mom said "The monorail goes to those place?" and the wife said "Yeah...the monorail goes everywhere her...it connects every park and every hotel...it really great" You would think you would do a little homework before going to the parks...but I guess not.

I've worked a lot of parades and the sheer number of guests who show up minutes before the parade starts and who then complain loudly that there's nowhere to sit never fails to amaze me.

As for the Monorail: you'd think they'd have remembered how they got to the park that morning. :confused3

This just in....!

Tonight, a guest who had been standing in line at Space Mountain for 20 minutes. they stopped a CM friend of mine as he was walking past and asked "Just what am I standing in line to see?"

WOW!

We were sitting on across from a family with 2 adorable children. My wife was talking to the kids as they looked at all the pins she had. When my wife asked what parks they had been to they got shy as most kids do and hid their face in mommy's lap. The dad laughed and chimed in "well we obviously went to EPCOT today, the zoo was yesterday, and tomorrow we are going to Disney World to ride dumbo!!:lmao: :lmao:

I know our passion for knowing every nook & cranny of WDW isn't for everyone:laughing: but you'd think they know the names of the parks:laughing: I guess 1 out of 3 isn't bad, just wonder what he would have called MGM:rolleyes1

This is not something funny I overheard, but something that I said that made a passerby laugh-

We were at Downtown Disney shopping in the World of Disney. We had been to a park and were very tired. We were looking for gifts for ourselves and others and were back and forth between the rooms. Trying to get our 5 members together amongst the crowds was tough. Plus looking at all the neat Disney things while trying to find the perfect souvenier. Finally we made what was our last purchase. We had everyone together. I said "OK everyone, close your eyes and let's get out of here!" To which the guy next to me LOL.

Yesterday at Epcot I heard a guy say, "Lady, you dropped your ears." Now that's something you would only hear at Disney. :rotfl2:

Some more of our funny moments at recent trip to WDW-

#1
We stayed at Fort Wilderness in my parents RV. Coming back to the RV after a long day at a park, me and my two sons, 10 and 6, made it back to the RV before my parents who were lagging behind. While waiting for my dad to come with the key to the RV, my 10 DS said "I Farted" as a 10 year old would announce. Just then my dad walked up to the RV. He noticed out loud that the carpet outside the RV was crooked. He said "There must have been a little wind here" I lost it. I was laughing so hard I cried. It took me several hours before I could relate the story without laughing too hard to finish. No one knew what I was laughing about because I was the only one who heard the entire thing.

We have mentioned this incident at least every day since our trip.

#2
We came back to the RV after again another long day. I was trying to get DS age 6 to put on his PJ to go to bed. He was sitting on the floor down to his underwear, and instead of putting on pj he started putting on his sneakers! Thats how tired he was. Do you know how long it takes me to get him to put his shoes on, and there he is putting them on with only underwear on at 10pm! Another laughing so hard I cried moment.

#3
We were at Universal Studios IOA and were leaving for the day. Dad suggested stopping at Jimmy Buffet's for a marguarita (side note- I got carded! I'm 40!!) We got a seat on the brightly decorated adirondak chairs outside the restaurant and enjoyed our marguaritas. We saw a bunch of tibetan (?) monks dressed in bright orange togas walking towards us. I thought of taking a picture but it would have been too obvious. Imagine our surprise when one of them walked by and took our picture!! He smiled and nodded his head as he walked away. I guess we looked as different to him as he was to us!

:lmao: :rotfl2:

This happened a few years back but I still get a kick out of it.

I live in Tampa so most of my friends and I have annual passes and have been to WDW many times over the years. One year a group of five of us were heading to the Magic Kingdom for the day. On the way there my friend was telling us how EPCOT is her favorite park and that it originally stood for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. She wanted to go there before we headed home because the Japan Pavillion had her favorite treat. She was trying to explain it to us. She said, "It's a ball of shaved ice with flavored syrup and you can ask to put different flavors on it or just have one, but I can't remember what it's called." Without missing a beat, with a perfectly straight face, my other friend looks at her and says, "You mean a snowcone?"

We wouldn't let her live it down. To this day she can't get a snowcone (or Kaki Gori as it is called at the Japan Pavilion) without being teased.

This isn't necessarily a funny comment, but something another guest told me happened to him which I thought was great. He was leaving a theme park (can't remember which one) after a full day in the park, and all he wanted to do was grab Disney transportation back to his hotel. Well, he wasn't watching where he was going and it was late, so he climbed onto the first Disney bus he saw in the parking lot. When he looked up, he noticed every single seat had a CM dressed as Mickey Mouse in it, and they were all holding their "heads" in one arm. Nobody said anything for a few seconds, and then he volunteers "Soooo....I guess you're not going back to my hotel then, are you?"

This seems less funny when I type it out, and maybe you had to be there, but to hear this guest tell that story made me laugh very, very hard. It's not every day you see something like that. I can't imagine where all those Mickeys were going though!

Thanksgiving weekend we were having breakfast at Whispering Canyon.A family from the UK was seated at the table beside us.The son who was 8 or 9 wolfed down a stack of pancakes a side of bacon a glass of milk and a glass of juice before his parents could get a fork into their first egg!
The whole time between bites he was telling them to hurry up or they were going to be late ( at this point we didnt know late to where or for what ).So they hurry to finish up and leave. We finished about 5minutes after them and headed for the bus for AK.
Well they are going to AK also, their son was spinning circles and doing handsprings ( probably from all the maple syrup ).We get on the bus and 5 minutes into the ride the son says " DAD I'm BORED" Well the dad replies in a calm and wonderful rich british accent " Son if your going to be bored at Disney, you may as well commit suicide". I about fell off my seat!:lmao:

I love this thread...I have a couple to share

1. I was in the MK yesterday and was lucky enough to ride the double decker bus, which happened to stop in front of the castle just before the castle lighting stage show (we got to stay on the bus during this show and it was so cool). Anyway, as we were leaving the top layer to disembark a woman in front on me says to another woman "I like this castle display even better than when they covered the castle in CANDY"...I think she meant when it was decorated like a cake. LOL!

2. I was in AK looking at the American Alligators that they have in Dinoland. There were many people standing around, and nobody believed that they were real. I tried to tell people that, yes, in fact these were real alligators. Finally I heard a dad say to his son "these aren't real, they are those Animal-tronic things like in the Hall of Presidents" :scared1: .

3. I used to work as a part-time CM at Epcot, and am now seasonal. When I worked every weekend I heard many, many funny comments from guests. One of the strangest was a guest that came up to me, with his family, holding the YOAMD Lanyards that they had just been lucky enough to get on the resort bus. He said "somebody just told me that getting this lanyard awards me an overnight stay in the castle!" I had a really hard time trying to convince him that the lanyard was his prize and if it was a castle stay that he had won...then he would definitely have known. I don't think he believed me!
